Watching the clone wars as a military brat, especially as someone who’s been on a tiger cruise (take your kid to work day but it’s like a week long and on a navy ship) is surreal because it’s so accurate to military behavior.

Stupid nicknames usually related to something embarrassing or just the thing they’re most associated with.

“Alright men what’s the problem, I’m missing dinner.” -Anakin. Word for word quoting my uncle.

Random solidarity with the enemy. One pilot for some middle eastern country regularly flew by a a ship solely to ask for his (U.S.)college basketball team’s scores. And he usually got them.

“Everything is fine in the hanger sir”

The hanger: $8,000 of tax dollars in damages

Randomly dissing their commanding officers in front of them but it’s fine because they’re off duty.

“We have a strictly professional relationship.” They’re best friends and have literally forged each other’s signatures so their spouses can give them a surprise vacation.

Covering for each other so they can call their spouses. Even though everyone knows exactly what is going on.

The “totally secret” room of contraband.

Swapping name tags/armor to cover for someone because they can’t tell you apart in the uniform
