Adding a little color and style to a Saturday BBQ...

Sometimes it's just the little touches that add that special something to a party. And even better when those touches don't require a lot of effort or money. That's when I happened across these fruit/herb ice cubes on pinterest I knew it was just the thing to add some sweet flare to my next gathering!

I tried it out this Sunday and it was even easier and prettier than I imagined! Simply buy a variety of fruit and herbs; cut the fruit into really thin slices before adding them to the water in the tray. It's fun to play around with the colors and shapes, experimenting with different flavors too-- combos like mint + cucumber and lemon + sage!

Garnet & Emerald

I planned to post this yesterday, when it had finally reached 60 degrees and felt like a true spring day...and right now it's snowing. That's right, snowing! Well, I'm going to go ahead and ignore it (that's right, like a two year old cover my own eyes it will disappear!) I'm not giving spring up that easy! So instead I'm back to focusing on this beautiful spring palette. It’s sunshine and flowers at it’s finest pairing rich rose reds and pinks with emerald green. I love this color palette for a spring wedding or just afternoon brunch with the ladies. So so pretty.
