Hello loaves! (I’m calling all my followers this now) I’ve been feeling a little under the weather lately. This blog will be on hiatus for a lil while. I apologize in advance!

Finger Sandwich

This is a dressed-up version of “a common meal popular amongst Galadion Bay’s dockworkers” - an egg sandwich. I see Finger Sandwiches being an hors d’oeuvre at a garden party, or something you eat with afternoon tea. A tasty egg sandwich classed up a little with chunky kosher salt and walnut bread. 

I added a dash of cream to my eggs for that fluffy, luxurious richness and then scrambled them omelette-style, folding them over with a spatula, so that they form a uniform mass instead of scrambled curds. This recipe makes 2 sandwiches. Dainty enough for the Bismarck, yet filling enough for a Roegadyn. 

Finger Sandwich!

4 slices Walnut Bread (regular bread will suffice, I suppose)

3 eggs 

Generous dash of cream 

Unsalted butter, ideally softened

Kosher salt

Leaf lettuce, a few leaves

Generously butter both slices of bread and place a leaf or two of lettuce on one side. Sprinkle kosher salt on the other. Whisk egg and cream together. Heat a skillet to medium-low heat and butter it. Pour the egg mixture into the pan and let it cook for several minutes, until the eggs are done. Flip and ensure they are done all the way through, then cut them into portions with your spatula. Salt and pepper the eggs. Slide onto the sandwich and serve! For a tea-party flair, cut off the crusts. Tasty.
