Having 'guests' in the Sea of Death couldn't possibly lead to a good outcome, and frankly he didn't want to have to deal with the mess.

                    He feels a bit stiffer than normal, moving at a more sluggish pace. However he doesn't seem to be expressing any discomfort about it.

HEADCANON ; STATUS

He still has some corpse like attributes however, he's very cold to the touch, has no pulse, none of his internal organs function as they should. He's unable to blush and has moments where he's very sluggish and it's difficult to move. He's also incapable of feeling pain. Otherwise he'd be in pain all the time.There are other things as well, but I can't think of them at the moment.

                    “…finally…" It’s gone quiet all around him, which meant he could finally be left to his reading. Flipping to the page he’d last been on, he crosses his legs. One would think these fools would have better things to do other than pester him.

Stella had been looking for him. She couldn’t do anything without him due to her fear of being alone. With blood-stained tears, she soon finally finds him.

                    Anybody else surely would have immediately brought about frustration, the starfish however was the sole exception to this. Hearing her soft and timid voice he turns his head up perhaps just a bit quicker than normal. "Stella."  Noticing the sadness that lingers with her usual gloomy expression, he lets out a sigh and slowly pulls himself to his feet. "...is something the matter?..."
