(It’s an easy smile, one she feels like she’s coming home to. She doesn’t regret the decision either, she would have easily given her life for those two kids, that was just part of the job. The scar still hurt just to remind her it was there sometimes, though.)

I never said that. That kind of smile, however, makes me nervous. (Okay maybe she appreciated being reminded she was worthwhile by thirteen guys and one girl.

But she still could have died.)
