i know i am celestial, but god, even stars die.

Critias sat a short distance away from the dragon-god and started honing his sword, working on a slightly dulled edge. After a short while, he stopped and looked at the god. “What brings you here, if I may ask?”
While Osiris seemed content to simply... lounge ( albeit with more dignity than the word offered ), the god responded to the question readily. “ { A curiosity, one could say. I desire to realign myself with the worlds I am to reign over — what better method than to experience it myself? Hearts move quickly, and many things changed when I was preoccupied. } ”
Your character overhears someone calling mine 'a monster', what does your character do?
the-new-shitteno:
He struggles to hang onto the ring as the god writhes in the air, the golden “blood” staining his fingers. His heart is heavy knowing he’s causing Osiris so much pain, but he knows if he does nothing, the ring will just hurt Osiris more.
“I’m sorry, Osiris!” he cries, tears stinging at his eyes, “I will stop this, I will! Please just hang on!”
Planting his feet as firmly as he can manage on Osiris’s dark underbelly, he musters up every last bit of strength he can manage to tug at the Millennium Ring, shouting out his anguish and hatred of the damned ring. It’s ruined so many lives, he’s not about to let it ruin Osiris’s, life too.
He can feel the ring’s dark power burning his palms, snaking up his arms. It’s unbearable, but he fights all the same. With one last furious scream and mighty pull, he tears the ring out of the dragon’s body, crashing into the ground, the golden ring clasped in his trembling hands.
Thunder and lightning rises in the god’s maw, pain overpowering its senses ( whether they be thoughts pushed onto it from the Ring or its own attempts at reasoning ), and Osiris screeches, arching its neck back as though to blast the nearest thing — or maybe the furthest thing, up into the sky, it’s hard to know because it never comes to pass.
Soul-gold tears free of its scales and Osiris rears back, an eagle’s scream splitting the air as the god beats its wings, battle-honed reactions demanding that it get as far away from the source of the injury as possible — and so its wings stir up a windstorm as it rises into the air, wrenching itself away. But even this is enough; its thoughts are only its own, now, and the dragon ignores the gaping wound in its heavenly scales in favor of rising into the sky, the coalescing storm pouring rain upon it.
The wound pounds and so the dragon shudders and shimmers, diminishing its scales — the injury would shrink with it, and be easier to treat and heal. Once down to merely a fraction of its original length, the god lets itself fall, the air groaning as it whips past the holy figure, tracing it as it half-heartedly extends tired wings and — crashes into the ground.
blackincantation:
But it was not just his courage that led the master mage to follow him — perhaps even blindly — to this advanced world, even with the notion that he would once return to rest. No, Seker had his own reasons to follow the ancient king, but he kept that to himself for now. Instead, he watched as the divine dragon eased down further. He could see him better now, and even up close, Osiris was a sight to behold.
But then again, it is not every day he stands before a god.
“How long have you been asleep?” he asks, then, curious. Could it be that the god knew little of this world? His brows knit together as he studied the fiery red divinity before him. Did the three gods sleep when not in use by their king?
“ { Too long, } ” is the response — the dragon almost sounds wry. “ { For eras, the gods have only stepped into this realm when called upon. Let the mortals decide the fate of their world. For those worthy, we aid. But even in times without a chosen soul, hearts act swiftly in their limited lives. It is only recently, with release from the oldest laws, that I look beyond the battlefield. } ”
And to such extent, as well. Osiris is and always will be an Egyptian god — the identity carved with holy words into the dragon’s very being — but with the globalization and interaction across lands previously thought too far to bear... After all, it had first truly awoken not in its homeland but far away, expanding horizons beyond expectation.
1; clawing, jarring, whirring, spinning. your head is a thousand voices. your ears hear things you don’t understand. a choir sings softly in the distance and you’re sure you could sing along like you know the tune, if only you knew the words. 2; wings that stretch out twenty feet. they touch their tips anxiously to everything, every surface, person and being. you want to hide them to fit in, but you know nobody can see them. then you want everyone to know. to know how divine you are. 3; there is warmth in your chest when you hear the ancient songs. you feel like you could fly. restlessness. homesickness. you reach a hand out to your memories and they leave you in the cold. 4; you want to go home. you want to go home. there is no way back. it’s not easy going back, and sometimes you wonder if you ever will. 5; if you could turn and run from this you would. you would give it all up just to be normal. just to be without this longing, this ache and regret, this hope. 6; you remember everything in increments. shades of ivory and creme, gold and silver. they fill your head with blues and greens and every color man can never see. you want to paint it but the colors cannot be found here. 7; there is a garden your mind keeps drifting back to. you wonder why its so important and realize, maybe it’s best not to know. 8; nectar and ambrosia, the only flavors you remember. you want them back. you wont get to have them back, and for this you feel sad. 9; incomprehensible emotions. a spectrum of feelings all to its own, more and more than anything any other person could feel. but then, you’re not really a person, are you? 10; purpose will find you. you will find why you are here and one day, home will find you. you will feel love. you are loved, you are important, and you will survive this place and come back home stronger than when you left.
after all, we’re here for a reason, aren’t we? (via h0liestt)

Adventuring – at least that’s what she liked to call it. It sounded a lot better than “sneaking out” as Ebon liked to call it. While that did hold a bit of truth to it, in her defense, she was getting antsy from [acting like she was] reading scrolls and spellbooks all day. That, and he probably would have thrown her out anyway when he got fed up with her pestering everyone five seconds. So today she was an adventurer, exploring the wonders of the other realm – also known as the park.
She lets out a small yelp in surprise at the loud boom of thunder! She looks up at the dark clouds rolling in. It was sunny just seconds ago and suddenly… rain? Well. At least, over there…? Eyes widen in awe when she spots the silhouette of something hidden behind the clouds. Was that… a dragon…?! W-wow!
The young mage runs towards the outline and straight into the storm, brushing wet bangs back with her fingers. She stops below the God, jumping up and down as she waves her arms, hopefully catching its attention.
“Heeeeey, up there!”
Wings arching to cut through the splattering rain, Osiris revels in the lightning that rolls over its scales. It senses someone’s approach but makes nothing of it, merely tearing through clouds with a certain amount of glee — after being released from a seemingly endless cycle of sleep-long-wake-short, it’s certainly not unreasonable for the dragon to take delight in a more peaceful form of entertainment.
It’s not until the voice calls up to the god that Osiris bends its neck and peers at the figure down below, and with a beat of its wings swoops just a little closer to the other, rumbling a hello in response. The dragon does not shy its immense figure, letting its wings settle lazily in a half-extended form, catching just enough air to make staying aloft a mindless task. In the meantime, the god clicks static at her as if to ask her intentions or thoughts, whatever she finds suitable to share.
Osiris appears to be in an indulgent mood, it seems, moving endlessly through the clouds at a calm, content pace.
“i’m not going to let anything happen to you.”

It must be an odd sight for those who recognize the small, reptile-like creature currently clinging to Yugi and shoving its forehead to his cheek. Osiris is not exactly scared, per se — difficult for it to be frightened when its true form is that of the divine dragon-god of thunder and lightning — but ‘unsettled’ might be the right word.
An unhappy croon is Osiris’ response, before it pulls away just enough that it can start pacing, its movements stiff with tension. Nothing seems to be wrong outwardly, but the god is by nature ( as etched from creation ) attuned to the fabric of the realms and heavens. Something is happening. Something is wrong, and prickles nastily against the god’s scales, and had the god’s form any fur, it would’ve been bristling. As it stands, there is only a small rattle of scales and spikes when Osiris shakes itself, trying to dislodge the sense of something at the brink of danger.
The god knows the tendencies of fate and coincidence, that something always beckons danger around certain points of the world. Hoping it would stay far, far away, Osiris eventually hisses at nothing before retreating back to Yugi, scrambling over to coil itself around his arm. It must seem quite distressed, tail lashing back and forth, but Osiris has taken up this position in the thought of protecting Yugi, rather than the other way around.
( That isn’t to say that the other way around isn’t welcome, however; Osiris presses close and rumbles a thankful hum, and hopes that whatever comes to pass will not touch them. )
guess who finished rewatching 5ds!! i still have many questions tho
The nice things about buildings with open roofs is that Osiris doesn’t have to shrink or stuff itself inside — the god can simply lean over and peer in from the top... Although that tends to result in a bit of screaming, apparently.
A twist of scale, and the holy dragon unfurls itself through clouds — endless, infinite, basking in the lightning that crackles harshly against its body, in the cooling rain that pelts its wings, in the thunder that groans through the sky. Too much hot air has built up in the past days, and Osiris finds welcome relief in the concoction of cloud and rain.

What good is such a promise when the other readies to tread somewhere rife with danger? Osiris has seen enough of fate and possibility to know that sometimes a promise is little more than a bet. Still, with a last grumble and a less than pleased crackle of static, the god inclines its head and takes off, wings arching to push its massive form up higher and higher, scales shimmering and unwinding into dissipating light. The sole consolation the dragon has is that the Pharaoh knows he can call upon the gods’ powers when needed, and for now that will have to be enough.

【ϟ】 ‘Aw, c’mon! Rain again? Can’t the weather on this stupid island make up its mind and just chill out already!?’ Manjoume kept the thoughts to himself, walking out of the Academia’s main school building and toward the path that would lead him back to his dorm despite the building dark clouds above. A few claps of thunder were no big deal, he’d convinced himself, he’d be perfectly fine. Walking in the rain beat sticking around the prison that were these classrooms, anyway.
“…” Too bad his room in the the Osiris Red dorm was practically a ten mile hike from the main campus, though. With storm clouds that looked as vicious and ready to burst at any second like the ones over head now did, Manjoume would end up drowning before he was even half way there.
It’s probably unsurprising that Osiris loves storms; the more lightning and thunder, the better. While the god hadn’t intended to start a storm here, it looks like one’s in the making anyway.
The dragon decides to enjoy the storm while it’s here. With a thunderous rumble, Osiris descends past the heavy clouds, pulling its massive form in winding spirals towards the ground. Since this kind of storm usually drives everyone indoors, it’s surprised to see someone actually soldiering on despite the warning gusts and darkening skies. ( Odd, though; don’t most of the people here don one of the three colors of the gods? And the boy does seem to be going towards the building painted red... ) Osiris snorts, looping a final circle before planting its hind claws on the earth, a little ways off to the side of the mortal’s path.
At this point, the heavens open up and rain truly begins to pour, pitter-pattering with all the intensity of a waterfall. Taking just a little bit of pity on the pour soul, Osiris extends a glistening, arching wing, effortlessly blocking the rain from the boy’s head like some divine umbrella.
