Hinata has been zipping around the room since he’d first arrived, never staying in place for too long before he’s being carried off by another conversation with people he only sees on occasion. He had thought he wouldn’t be the only one coming to the party for the chance to meet some of the other teams they’d never played against but since he’d arrived he’d not seen another team member floating around anywhere. It wasn’t completely surprising since it was a party being hosted by Oikawa of all people, but he supposed it would be their loss. Still it wasn’t quite as fun since he couldn’t mingle with his teammates outside of school and the court in a more casual setting. Also their loss he guessed?
Hinata finally relents and accepts the drink that's being handed to him as his eyes scan the room again looking for more familiar faces among the crowd. He waved to a few acquaintances from other teams as he pushed past but didn’t swing himself into their conversations. He was just about ready to give up and get back to partying when he found the face of a particular setter he’d least expected to show up to Oikawa’s party.
Hinata practically bounces with every step as he approaches Kageyama, “Uwah!” He stops short of him nearly shouting over the music, “you actually came Kageyama!”
People don’t bat an eyelash at a clingy Hinata, it doesn’t surprise anyone when he just finds that one person he just tends to gravitate to as its just something so Hinata like. So him following someone around and hanging around their side when he’s not at practice or in class is nothing anyone thinks twice about.
He’s not like other Yandere’s tend to be, those who hang back and just watch their beloved from afar, no he likes to keep close and interact with them, get to be in their space and consume all of their attention.
He HATES losing to anything, anyone, if he’s not the center of their attention he makes sure to make himself front and center.
He doesn’t mind if that means someone [pets included] have unfortunate accidents so he can comfort and be his beloveds little sunshine in a dark moment of their life.
However Hinata won’t push for a relationship, just make them slowly and steadily become attached to him so that they will come into the idea on their own even if this means ruining relationship after relationship for them until they come to choose him instead.
Let it be known that with all of Hinata’s instability and resolve to get his hands dirty he’s never had to kill a single person [pets not included]. That doesn’t mean that he wouldn’t do it without thinking twice if they got in his way.
Hinata is a stubborn child and will more thank likely pursue the object of his obsession until they’re in a place in he can no longer reach them.
However before that happens Hinata will drag them in and keep them for himself locked away until they make him snap.
KageHina
Kageyama used to be popular with girls, for the most part, maybe it had to do something with his personality or his looks. Well whatever it was Hinata was having none of it.
There were always those girls who saw Hinata hanging around him and thought they could use him to get to Kageyama, but not a one of their letters ever made it to him. Sometimes the girls had accidents other times they just stopped talking to Kageyama and avoided him like the plague from then on.
Hinata joked they avoided him because of his attitude or his scary face, but behind the jabs and smile he couldn’t help but be pleased at his handy work.
Kageyama and Hinata dating is nice, as nice as it can be with their normal routine arguments and the first few weeks are bliss until another girl comes along to ruin it.
She’s sweet and he supposes if he cared more he might have felt bad for the poor girl but his mind and heart are clear she is a threat who needs to be removed from the equation. She pushes when Hinata pushes back trying to get her to give up, and she pushes too far until Hinata just snaps. She falls down a flight of stairs on her way home and doesn’t survive, Hinata is all smiles and sunshine the next day.
If Kageyama ever breaks up with Hinata, that’s fine, because he will always be Hinata’s and eventually he’ll come back to him, Hinata can wait.
AoneHina
Aone, poor babe I dragged you into this, is someone Hinata noticed immediately in their first game against his team. How could he not? Aone was a presence that he couldn’t just ignore.
It was a passing thing, a simple curiosity that Hinata was sure would pass as his eyes were still on Kageyama at the time, but after meeting outside of the court he finds that its not just a passing curiosity and does ask for his contact information as he’s done with pretty much every player he’s met up until that point.
Hinata keeps tabs on him always asking about what he’s doing, where he’s at, who he’s with, and if he’s having fun, and getting a little burned up when he’s with other people but always returns the messages with smilies and well wishes.
After a while he wiggles his way into spending time with Aone when they’re free and takes up good chunks of his time with every visit or every place they go. He doesn’t talk much and is intimidating, but Hinata likes that. It makes it harder for others to approach him so he doesn’t have to go and scare them off time and time again.
Dating Aone is like a dream, its sweet and Hinata still finds himself jealous and having to ward off other people from time to time, but Aone himself rejects what he doesn’t intercept and they tend to back away.
However pushy girls who don’t know when to take no for an answer have found their end to be very painful.
Unless Aone finds out what Hinata’s doing I don’t see them really breaking up unlike KageHina who I can see doing so at least a few times aha.
KinHina
Kindaichi was a slow burn, listening to a few of Kageyama’s stories about middle-school was enough to get Hinata interested. He asks Kageyama a few questions here and there about him, but confronts Kindaichi himself well after their last match against each other.
However they never got into full contact until a fateful training session that Hinata wasn’t really invited to, but weaseled his way in on because he heard Kindaichi there.
In the mess of information being shared he managed to nab his, but also found that he didn’t like Kunimi very much.
Kunimi was like Hinata was to Kageyama, they just happened to be around each other nearly all the time and whether they got along or not they just worked better together.
Hinata HATED Kunimi.
He never said it to his face, always treated him like everyone else, but he felt that Kunimi knew he didn’t like him. He was a sharp guy so Hinata wouldn’t put it past him, that would just make it that much more difficult for him.
And he was right, any time he tried to talk to Kindaichi, Kunimi seemed to rear his head up and butt in stealing the attention away from Hinata, it made him angry. So he pushed harder, made plans in advanced and pushed Kunimi out of the way whenever he could until Hinata couldn’t take sharing his attention anymore.
Eventually Hinata and Kindaichi would start to date after the back and forth with Kunimi continued on and Hinata would start to get more and more of Kindaichi’s time butting Kunimi out of his life for a while time and time again, and it wasn’t until Kunimi confronted Hinata that he had his little ‘accident’.
Over all I can see this ending with Kunimi and Kindaichi having a big blow out over the whole Hinata thing and that Kindaichi is one of the few who really catches on to Hinata and ends up being locked away for a very long time.
Possibly this could end with Hinata killing Kindaichi to keep him away from other people because of course “If I can’t have you, then no one can”
I have so many more pairings I could do because I love rare pairs but this is where I’m gonna stop for now.
[aha I over did it a bit, but damn do I love Persona]
Hinata just wanted to help to go along and get Kageyama out of that twisted TV world. Everyone knew it would kill him given time and the right number of rainy days in a row so the race was on.
What Hinata didn’t expect upon taking up arms with friends more experienced in their TV expeditions than he was, was the appearance of his own shadow in one of the rooms.
He’d never wanted to face himself, his selfish desires, his failures, watching everything be thrown at his feet and laid bare for those with him to see.
He denied it, denied everything and enraged it, after that he doesn’t remember much. He knows he blacked out and only awoke after it had been beaten down and was told he had to come to terms with it.
After his acceptance Hinata gained use of a Persona! His Persona is Huginn a raven missing its left wing, it favors buffs and removal of status ailments over magic or physical damage, however it learns several physical striking skills and follows the Hama skill line. It has a partner Persona in Muinnin the raven missing its right wing which specializes in magic and magic damage and follows the Mudo skill line.
Huginn is weak to Bufu magic and is completely immune to Hama magic, everything else does normal damage.
Upon his Persona changing form it becomes Apollo the humanoid Persona with jet black wings and shrouded in light.
Not much changes skill wise beyond him gaining a stronger physical skill in place of the weaker ones he’d retained.
Apollo now has no weaknesses is resistant to Agi, and immune to Hama.
Hinata’s arcane is The Chariot
Hinata isn’t the only one who receives this power as there is a whole team built up of the first years up to the the third.
The team is as follows: [Member, Shadow dungeon, Persona, and Arcane]
Ushijima, the member to start it all, the one without a shadow, the wild card. As the wild card Ushijima is restricted to no one Persona. The weaknesses and strengths vary from Persona to Persona and the skills at his disposal are only limited to the skills his Persona’s possess.
He has no arcane but the group was blessed with the arcane of The Hanged Man
Oikawa, stages filled with lights, laughter as the ambient noise among some dance music the team just can’t name, but has heard it before. The stages dim one by one as shadows are defeated and the curtains are drawn. Oikawa’s shadow lurks farther in after the teams beats down the opening act and prepare themselves for the main event.
Oikawa’s Persona is Pierrot a masked humanoid Persona who’s mask is perpetually covered with a big bright smile. It specializes in physical based skills and has high speed stats, it knows a few buffs but is better known for its reflective spells for sheilding its party members from harm.
Its weak to Hama skills and resists Mudo skills.
Its next form is Harlequin the humanoid with a mask depicting the half the same smile it used to but the other a more blank face with a signiture tear drop bellow the eye.
Its no longer weak to Hama skills, it now resists physical attacks, and is immune to Mudo skills.
Oikawa’s arcane is The Emperor
Kageyama, hollowed castle walls spacious and empty, shadows only lurk hidden behind doors of cells and all else is quiet through out the long winding halls. The grand throne room is no better where you’ll find his shadow lurking a lonely monarch with an empty kingdom.
Kageyama’s Persona is Muinnin the raven missing its right wing which specializes in magic and magic damage and follows the Mudo skill line.
Its weak to Garu but is immune to Mudo skills.
Its next form is the humanoid Morrighan with pure white wings but clothed in dark colors.
She is no longer weak to Garu, is strong against Bufu, and immune to Mudo.
Kageyama’s arcane is The Tower
Kenma, the dungeon was over all pleasant for the longest time, Hinata couldn’t place any of them that were pleasant but Kenma’s was for a majority of the floors.
It was a warm dungeon with soft colors and floors, it was almost like walking through a cloud on a nice warm summer day. For the most part it was strange and calming until the last five floors where all the light was gone and the color faded. Everything was dreary a complete dramatic change from what they’d seen thus far.
Kenma’s Persona is Lynx a shimmering feline with a body made of amber, its weakest asset is its physical attacks, however it has high magical damage and specializes in inflicting status ailments. It also follows along the Zio skill line.
Its weak against Agi attacks and is strong against Zio.
Its next form is the feline Sphinx large and regal. In this new form its no longer weak against Agi attacks, its strong against Garu magic, and Absorbs Zio.
Kenma’s arcane is The High Priestess
This was way too much to deal with at once so here’t just the arcane for the last four.
Hinata just wanted to fly and he got that opportunity upon joining the Garrison, only things weren’t quite the way he had hoped.
What was a quiet time at school turned chaotic and suddenly Hinata was in space in a Space Lion with some people from school he kind of knew and that jerk Kageyama who he had such a grudge against because of how good he was at flying.
Well the Space Lion took them to a castle somewhere far far away from earth and this where they meet the last of the Altean race, a Prince or maybe King now with a pretty shitty personality who liked to tease and his adviser who tries to keep him in line. Yes Prince Oikawa last of the Alteans and his adviser Iwaizumi.
The Paladins for this AU are Hinata, Kageyama, Aone, Bokuto, and Shirabu.
The team itself is shaky at best and absolutely abhorrent at worst, they can hardly get along half the time and Bokuto’s attempts to reign them in just aren’t working.
Forming Voltron is perhaps the hardest thing they can do and Oikawa putting them through exercises to get them to bond as a team is not helping their situation at all. The only few times they’ve been able to pull it off was by complete accident and necessity.
Hinata and Kageyama fight like cats and dogs but you’d never find two more dedicated people on the training deck tackling the training bots on increasing difficulties.
Shirabu is the brightest among them, he may not be up on Pidge’s level and tinkering away at things on the ship but it becomes his mission to figure out how things in the castle work and how to fix them. Iwaizumi frequently lends his knowledge to him when he’s in need of the help, thought Shirabu never asks for it.
Aone is there gentle giant, he puts himself between the fights making good use of his size to keep them from evolving into physical bouts.
Bokuto is, well, he’s Bokuto and he’s just as pumped about the team training exercises that he ropes them all in at least twice a day to attempt the exercises again.
Oikawa might have a preference to the invisible wall maze exercise and he might have admitted it before.
Iwaizumi is 500% done with everyone in the castle, but they may be starting to grow on him.
In terms of bonding with their Lions Hinata and Bokuto may have stronger bonds with their Lions than any of the others on the team. They also tend to spend a lot of time talking to the lions when they have the down time.
Hinata was so excited to go on his adventure when he finally came of age to receive his first Pokemon. His sights were set high on becoming the Champ of the Kalos region and snatching that title from Ushijima! His starter was the fire type Fennekin!
Hinata never knew Kenma before he went on his journey, they’d grown up in different towns so they’d hardly had a chance of actually meeting. So Hinata thought his battle with Kenma was just going to be a normal one where he’d win with those handful of Pokemon he’s been training. In the end Kenma won.
Kenma was a trainer with a pair of Espurr who were a lot stronger than he thought they were. Hinata was ecstatic to meet a strong trainer when the others he’d met so far hadn’t gave him an adequate challenge. He may have crowded him a bit with a lot of questions and excitement after the battle ended.
Kenma held no aspirations to take on the champ like Hinata so after a few days together and an exchange of numbers they went their separate ways.
However, Hinata always stayed in touch as he always updated Kenma when he one a new gym battle and when he finally beat Ushijima and took his title. Kenma on the other hand wasn’t even in the same region anymore.
In the end I can see Hinata retaining the title of champ for a while before having him being beaten and losing the title, Kenma on the other hand I can see wandering and learning about Pokemon instead of trying for any Champ positions.
Hello! I am here everyone! I’m going to go ahead and get shit started with this starter call! Give this a like for a starter, no cap for now and length may vary from starter to starter!
