It’s a new year and that means new changes have been added and are coming to the site!
- Backstage.
We have added a new section to the site called Backstage. This section is considered as your Newsfeed but with so much more. On your Backstage, you will get a quick look at a few stats of your Stage, have easy access to your messages and uploading new media, and will receive suggested Stages and media to view, all while still being able to stay up-to-date with what your Fans and Connects are up to. Also, me may have noticed an Opportunities section is located there as well. The best part about this section—in the near future, you will start to see opportunities for you populating it.
We are so excited for the next coming weeks. We have lots of site changes lined up to be revealed soon. And if you are already a Beta member, make sure your Stage is set because big things are coming!

Well, another week has passed and we’ve continued to work hard on the site. As promised, we’ve made some big changes.
- Social sharing.
You can now share your Stage, media, and others’ Stages and media with all of your social media sites! So start sharing your Stage and encourage other to sign up to build your fan base.
- Recruit Fans.
It’s time to really start building your fan base! You can now recruit Fans on Showpitch to view your Stage. When on a Fan Stage, under ‘Fans’ you will see the option ‘Recruit This Fan,’ this will allow you to send this Fan a message asking them to view your Stage and possibly become a Fan of yours.
- Global Navigation changes.
On the bottom tool bar, you may have noticed ‘Browse’ and ‘About’ has been removed. We have decided to put connects, opportunities and new media in one section, rather than splitting them up. You may also notice ‘Competitions’ and ‘Showcalls’ in this menu; these will be coming soon so we’ll have more information on these features in the coming weeks.
And if you would like more information about Showpitch, simply hover over the Showpitch logo on the bottom tool bar for options to learn more.
- New features.
A hover feature was added to listed Stages. This hover allows users to see the talent type, industry users’ title, number of Fans a Stage has, and gives you the option to view that Stage or share it.

We are excited to announce that big things are coming to Showpitch soon and even bigger things are coming with the New Year. Over the next few weeks be on the look out for:
- Social sharing.
Share everything you’re doing on Showpitch with your other social media sites. Build your audience faster by sharing and encouraging others to Fan and Connect with you on Showpitch.
- New features.
A hover feature will be added to Discover. This hover will allow you to get a quick view of a talent or industry type before going to their Stage. So for example, if you are looking for a musician, all you have to do is go to Discover and hover over Talent Stages until you find one that matches what you are looking for.
- Site changes.
We will be making some site design changes in the next few weeks. We’ll give you more updates about these changes as they come. These changes are only going to increase the user experience even more on the site and we can’t wait to share them with you.
And the big news!
Showpitch will be going live in the beginning of 2015! No more waiting in line! It’s time to get your Stage ready!

Our tech team has been chained to their desks working on the site. Since our last update they have made some great changes per feedback suggestions.
- Notifications are now clickable.
Now when you receive a notification, you can click through to go directly to the message, comment, post or Stage of someone who Fanned your Stage.
- Bottom toolbar changes.
We have made the bottom toolbar simpler by adding a hover menu to Dashboard. For those who have been on the site for a while now, you might have noticed the Newsfeed option has disappeared from the bottom toolbar. You can now hover over ‘Dashboard’ and see a list of places on the site to navigate to, with your Newsfeed being one of them.

Showpitch.com has been in closed Beta for a little over a month now, and we have received nothing short of positive feedback. So far, users on the site have uploaded some awesome content, provided great feedback and started making connections! We are so excited our users are enjoying the site and everyone at Showpitch as been working hard to improve the site and bring even more exciting new features to users.
Since launching closed Beta, some significant changes have been made to enhance the user experience on the site. Here are some of the big fixes we made:
- Vanity Art problems.
When Beta first launched some users’ vanity art was being stretched to fit the larger banner space, however, this problem has been resolved. So, if your vanity art looks stretched, try uploading it again and it should fit correctly.
- More Attributes.
As more and more users joined the site, we received several suggestions for attribute types that should be added under talent and industry Stages. We took those suggestions into considerations and enhanced the list of talent and industry types.
We also decided that it would be more beneficial if users could see the type of industry they are viewing when on an Industry Stage. To add this enhancement, we changed the top right blue banners to classify the industry type. Now, when industry users distinguish how they would like to be categorized in their About section, the type they select is listed in the small blue banner in the top toolbar.
- Faster binding.
We received a lot of feedback about pages not loading fast enough. To improve user experience on the site, we have completed our first round of optimization, which allows items to load faster.
While we are fixing bugs on the site, we are also adding new features for our users to enjoy! Within the coming weeks these new features will be added:
- Faster load times.
We are continually working on optimizing load times for media uploads and the site itself. We know everyone has lots to upload and wants to explore everything on the site, so we want to make sure your time is not wasted waiting for things to load.
- Open Beta!
Due to high demand and great feedback we are looking to go to open Beta as early as the beginning of 2015!
Launching into closed beta has given us great insights into what users want to do and the things that we can improve upon. Iggy Azalea, Taylor Swift, "Maleficent" and "The Big Bang Theory" were among the biggest winners at the 2015 People's Choice Awards, which aired live on CBS at Los Angeles' Nokia Theatre.
Taking it back to basics. That is how Panacea Project describes their music.
“With everyone producing digital music and enhancing their sound electronically, we want to stand out from the crowd,” said lead singer Luis Castro in an interview with Showpitch Insider. “We want to sound in person like we do on a recording. We want to be authentic.”
Castro, 28, and Carlos Bermon, 29, met a few years ago while they were each independently trying to pave their way through New York’s music scene. The two decided to start collaborating, instantly clicked and Panacea Project was born.
The name “Panacea Project” was derived from Greek mythology.
“Panacea is the Greek Goddess of Universal Remedy; the cure for everything. We believe music cures all,” Bermon says.
In the beginning of their career, the duo covered popular Latin songs and posted videos to YouTube. They quickly gained a following, and started performing live in October 2013.
“We were nervous. We wanted to bring to life what people saw on YouTube,” Castro said.
And they did. Their following grew even more and they expanded their music reach outside of New York traveling to Miami to regularly perform.
“It’s the mecca for Latin music,” Castro said. “We’ve played for and with some really great people.”
Sergio George, known for working with some of Latin music's most popular artists including Marc Anthony, Jennifer Lopez, Tito Puente and Celia Cruz, reached out to Panacea Project after seeing their covers on their YouTube Channel. He asked them to produce the acoustic version of Prince Royce's hit single, "Las Cosas Pequeñas." The acoustic version was included in Royce's sophomore album Phase II.
“It’s amazing all the doors covering songs has opened up for us,” Bermon said.
Recently, the duo just finished collaborating with Tatiana K, pop singer-songwriter from South Florida, on a new song called “Vuelvo a Caer.”They plan to start filming the music video at the end of January.
Also, through Showpitch, Panacea Project has recently signed to The Collective and signed a deal with Disrupt Digital Entertainment and Happy Owl Media to start filming a webseries to be featured on a major media company, whose name we cannot disclose at this time. We'll have more about these deals in the coming months.
The duo is on the rise right now, and fast. Stay on the look out for what’s to come from these two.
