He was talking about one of the YouTube channels he watches is of a Korean Mexican (Korean born, Mexican raised) who is living in S. Korea now with her husband and talks about the cultural differences, such as societal beauty pressures. I then mentioned K-Pop idol pressures. Then he brought up, "Oh aren't one of those bands coming? BTS or something?" Which led to the boy bands of my youth (BSB, N*SYNC).

And finally to Menudo.

Anyway, back in the day he saw them in the wild. He had a class at college that was cancelled so he went to the arcade at the mall to kill time and when he looked over to the cabinet next to him, he recognized the guy. Then next to him was another. He looked around and there were two more! He kept playing and when he left the arcade and was making his way out through the mall he came upon a group of fangirls frantically looking for them.

Anyway, menudo Menudo via Korea.
