9th Annual Festival of Student Performance SAIC graduate and undergraduate students present a festival of live works that engage hybrid forms of theater, movement, and the visual arts to collectively activate contemporary and progressive dialogues within performance art. We are pleased to present WTSFIM, a two-night installation and performance exhibition at Defibrillator Gallery on December 4th and 5th, 7PM-10PM. WTSFIM features works from nine Chicago-based artists who work in installation, performance, sound, film and video. This event highlights material reconfigurations of screen-based works previously shown at Nightingale Cinema this past October in the program Fragmented Pools.

WTSFIM questions the distinctions of dis/connection and the un/real in an attempt to activate space through a series of aesthetic investigations. These uncanny notions of materiality illuminate the mundane in the manner of magical realism.

2015 GRADUATE OPEN STUDIO NIGHT Friday, November 6, 4:30–9:30 p.m. 

Please join us to tour the School of the Art Institute of Chicago's Master of Fine Arts; Master of Design in Fashion, Body and Garment; Master of Arts in Visual and Critical Studies; and Post-Baccalaureate students' studios. You will see works in progress and finished pieces in the studios plus special curatorial collaborations from 345 current graduate students along the way.
