I've mentioned my height many times before and 5'0 isn't that short tbh but the way family members and random strangers treated me as a child it was like i had the plague. like they legit would spend a long ass time talking about it and making weird comments and making me feel so subhuman. my mental health was fucked and now when I bring it up to my mom she just shrugged it off and said it's not a big deal. ok now it's not a big deal but why was it such a big deal when I was little??

you can be very short without having dwarfism and also you can have a medical reason for being very short that isn't dwarfism - of course you can also just happen to be very short - and nobody really seems to get that
