I took a few days off everything to take care night and day, and sadly say goodbye to my lovely, old, sick cat, who shared almost 19 years of my life. It’s weird, I realized that I hadn’t been so fully in the present moment than during her last three days. I’m quite exhausted.
Never has a gif best translated what I’m feeling about this.
I had to kick myself out of bed this morning.
I am going to crossfit and in the office. I need to get back to my life.
I’m not done mourning and that’s ok, but I cannot let myself get depressed.

It’s in five weeks.
A half marathon is 13.1 miles.
My max is 5 miles right now (at least that I know of, I haven’t tried to push past that yet.)

Always breaking even
Other than losing one or two pounds here or there I’ve pretty well done nothing other than maintain my weight lately. While this is great for those that have reached the goal they’ve set, it isn’t so great for me who still has over 100 pounds to drop and I’ve figured it out.
It’s actually a simple thing but it took my husband nicely pointing it out while I was whining about not making much progress before my little light went on above my head. I’ve been overeating every single time I run just about. Almost always justifying it with “it’s okay because I ran X amount today.”
Duh what exactly did I think was going to happen? So, it’s time to pay attention instead of just bouncing through every day with the attitude that it doesn’t matter what I eat as long as I run. I still have today and tomorrow of work to get through before a day off and my days off are when I get my shit together mentally but yeah it’s time to get more serious!

I have most of her workouts, but I do mainly the ones from the "Killer" series (but kickbox, 30 Day shred, Ripped in 30 too).I like Jillian too, she's so odd 😆
I always want an extra 10 minutes of sleep in the morning, but never care enough to go to sleep 10 minutes earlier at night.
Today's run sucked
My calves were tight, as always. But I just can’t seem to find a way to push past it. If anyone has any advice on how to push through discomfort and that feeling when your legs weight a million pounds please let me know. @fatmaninalittlesuit your followers have been helpful in the past.
Any time I’m doing a run longer a few miles a try to spend about 10 minutes warning up. I walk and jog for about 5 minutes then spend 3 minutes stretching then jog for 2 minutes.
When I invest this time, in rarely cramp. Might be worth trying?

I definitely need to be better about warming up. Next run I will do some dynamic warm ups and see if it helps.
The only thing I can think is I’ll regret it when I get home if I didn’t push through the discomfort. Sometimes I can be mentally tough on myself but if I’m not then who will push me
I talked to my trainer about this recently, and he basically said it is what it is, and the best you can do is mobile stretching (inchworms and stuff like that) and foam rolling.
Dynamic stretch before run, but also stretching after. I'm guilty of not streching enough before going on the run and I always regret it later...
