There are spiders in my bathtub
And hate in my veins
My pulmonary artery grinds down my
Morals, committing bruxism to the last nucleus of my former self.
I swallow the
Bundle of flickering legs
The drain gulps vexation down
pining for nutrition -
starved nothingness
Spread out on the ground and
Presented on a platter.
Knives blossom from reminiscences stabbing roots in the
Back of hope
Sputtering pleas
Born on my knees
Swirling around the back of my throat
Stinging my uvula and finding solace in the abjection of
Mixing with settled concrete.
My memories fenestrate my childhood wrists
I collapse on the ground
Pebbles enunciate the softness of my elbows and knees
I am crawling to a conclusion
I am not who I once was
And who I once was is who I am no more.
The dirt from my heels pools, swirls, stills. vanishes.
