i know i need to get over it but. the fandom bafflement at zuko and katara being shipped together will never cease being crazy to me. leaving aside narratives, themes, chemistry, actual canonical romantic coded scenes… he’s fire and she’s water? if you know anything about how fanon couples are created you’d know they never stood a chance of NOT being shipped come onnnn they might as well have never interacted and they’d still have fans based on vibes alone. not our fault the show decided to feed us well and good instead.

i don't think i actually ever posted these?? i accidently deleted the sketch phase but i have the line art process! (the coloring process for at least one of them is up, i don't remember if i ever posted both)

also yes i drew both in the same document. i always do art in a series in the same document because i like having a thousand layers

these were for the @zutaracoloringbook !! you can pick up a downloaded copy for free and color these and many other spectacular works!! (and apply to be an artist for issue number two which was recently announced!)

gave zutara matching belts of course!

I also made a version where katara's belt and hair ribbon are just blue, for my single katara truthers out there!! (I think it harmonizes with her design best tbh)

And in both zuko images, I removed the warship image in the background <3
