Hyun was really getting tired of this.
She had been investigating for what felt like whatever, and her only results seemed to be the bare minimum. There was too much she didn’t know. She sighed and stood back up, a new determination in her eyes. Based on what Ezra had told her, about the weird object and the “ROSE-0″ code, she was pretty sure she knew how the murderer did all this. But, the fact that they used the master key meant it opened up the entire hotel. So there was basically no way to rule out any rooms. She decided to do what she had the last investigation, and search the entire hotel. She and Ezra had collectively looked through the 5th floor, so she started on the fourth one. She began at the library, looking through the shelves and stopping to gaze sadly at the spot where Noriko once lay. Hyun walked out of the library into the waterfall area, lifting up rocks and looking under leaves. She made her way out and checked the north seating area, lifting up seat cushion and looking under furniture. She checked out the bushes around the east seating area, crawling on her knees to check everything. She moved to the actual seating area, checking the entire area and looking under the benches. Moving down to the third floor, she checked the fitness room, stepping wildly to avoid the spot where Katsumi’s body was. She patted down and checked under the beds, looked in the shelves and the water section. Moving to the pool, she rifled around in the locker rooms and storage closets, opening the lockers close to the pool. She checked the laundry room and seating area, before moving down a floor and circling the dorms.
She started towards the elevator, before stopping. If they had the entire hotel to their disposal, they might have hidden things in rooms. She had already looked in Akemi’s, and she doubted any self-respecting murderer would hide stuff in their own room, so that left the dead students dorms free for grabs. She started at Akira’s, navigating the large amount of plants scattered about. There were weird pictures everywhere, including one of a thicc Garfield in a compromising position, and one of a pink hedgehog voring the entire world. Chalking it down to their strange sense of humor, she looked in their bed, closet and bathroom area. Moving to Artemis’s room, it was. Strange. There was nothing but a bed, a chair, and a desk when you walked in. There were holes on the wall, like something had been nailed up, but taken down. Shrugging it off - wasn’t the time to think about this - she looked in her bathroom, closet, and around the bed. Katsumi’s room was covered wall to wall in WIPs and full color drawings, and a silly one on a napkin of.... Kyoji... But with salad hair? There was an unfinished watercolor on their desk, an open paint palette next to it. They were probably planning on finishing it. She closed it up. Making quick work of the rest of the room, she went to Kyoji’s. There were papers scattered over the room, cups of coffee seemingly everywhere. There was even a pot of it in the corner, definitely cold by now, and playbills of musicals were taped to the walls. She looked through the same places she had the other rooms, and went to Noriko’s room. There were pens everywhere, and professional looking folders on the tables, along with a small bowl of the candy you would get at the doctors office. Addy’s room had little sticky notes all over the room with positive affirmations, and a few had notes about possible stunts. There was an automatic camera on the desk with the school store tag attached. Pictures of Hoshiko - mid-laugh, smiling, trying to hide herself from the camera - lay around it. Hoshiko’s room was similar in the sense that pictures of Addy were on the walls, with candles and fairly lights all over the room. A translation dictionary lay on the desk next to a globe.
She had to leave after she was done. It was too much. She moved down to the first floor, searching the tons of plants thoroughly, even looking around the courtyard - avoiding looking at the front of the bench - and moving to the dining hall, looking around the tables and buffet before searching the kitchen. She checked the private seating area and lobby, and the area outside of the school store before ending in the fountain area.
