My internet has cut out once again! And so, in lieu of an ask response, I shall post an introduction to a character many of you know and love- Thane!

(slight spoilers, mentions of hanging!)

The heart, by most mortal measures, is a miraculous thing. It will continue to beat on for ad long as it can, desperate to keep the body it knew as home, alive.

It will beat, and beat, and beat until the arteries have grown sluggish and slow. It will beat until blood bore no oxygen; it will beat long after the brain- and by that extension, the self- has ceased to be.

The mind knows- as good as it will ever know- when it has died. The heart never knows when to quit.

It came as no surprise then to Thane, that upon feeling your wrist for a pulse, he found one.

Had the executioner done his job properly, the fall from the gallows would've broken your neck. Being a doctor in the land of The Wastes, however, had only proved to him one thing, and one thing only:

Hyun had a job, now. Ezra had asked her to actually do something. She didn’t know the full plan, probably for a good reason. If Akemi and Ezra got hurt... No use thinking of that. She had a job to do. She made her way onto the roof, turning a full circle around. It was nice. Scenic. Would be a good enough place to die, if Monokuma so decided.  Whatever. She took a seat on one of the benches, cupping her hands around her mouth. “MONOKUMA!” She yelled. With a weird popping noise, the bear appeared. She hated everything she was about to do.  “Hey, uh- Sexy bear.” Jesus christ. “Uh. Goldilocks. I’m... Just right. For you.” Holy shit. “I made food. Let’s have a nice romantic dinner.” She has never craved death more. The bear agreed. He was fairly good company, though she wasn’t sure how he was eating. Leaving after 45 minutes or so, she knelt down in the elevator and banged her head against the wall. The shit she does for these guys.

Deleted Scene: Chp 6 

After a round of a few persistent knocks, Kaoru opened his hotel door, to see Hikaru handcuffed to a police officer.

Kaoru thought the worst possible thing Hikaru could bring home to him was, Irene. And that's true, she wasn't great, but Hikaru getting arrested? That certainly wasn't something he thought he should expect today. Or any day for the matter. 

His face said it all apparently, because Hikaru immediately tried to defend himself. "Kaoru- I can explain."

Kaoru's jaw tweaked as he slowly looked him from his shoes to the top of his head. "You can try."

The police officer whispered something in Spanish before giving a light kick to Hikaru's heel out of spite for speaking before him, making him yelp. "Are you his next to kin?"

Kaoru hesitated. "Depends."
