She thought to herself as she nodded to be polite, “What I mean is… um…” She tried to word her thoughts as best as she could, at least trying to not seem like what he called a ‘true sociopath/psychopath.’ “I… well, you see… if we find the weapon together… and if I’m the murderer… you’re aware of the, um… fact that I could kill you with the same weapon, right?”

She pointed out, “What I mean is that the murderer might be a true sociopath and/or psychopath themselves and is still capable of murder even after seeing the dead body. Even if we’re all classmates… we still don’t know everything about each other.”

Embarrassed, she said quickly, “But… I’m really glad that someone trusts me enough that you’re still going to look for the weapon with me, even if I was the murderer…”

For example if I say red one would think of a firetruck, an apple, and so on and so forth.” Takahiro could tell that the girl was nervous. “I’m not saying the murderer is a psychopath or a sociopath because that would be considered over generalizing. Nor have you given me any hints that you are.” He rolled his sleeves up and continued to look through the many lockers. “So what you could kill me with the murder weapon? If you were the murderer, that would be very dumb of you because then we can say with certainty that both murders were committed by the same person. I think you are a tad but smarter than that- if you were the murderering type. Not saying you are but if you were. You are a stalker, you know how to be smart with your presence and what you leave behind.”

Iris wasn’t sure to take his words as a compliment or not. Well, the words that she could understand in some form. “Um… I’m not really careful with how I leave things behind… I just do what’s naturally when I’m…” She put air quotes on the keyword, “‘stalking’ someone.”

She continued, “It’s just that… with two bodies and such, I would think that everyone wouldn’t be able to gather all of the necessary evidence in preparation for the trial, if the murders happen separately. There would… um… be two completely different sets of information that everyone would have to keep track of…” She said promptly, “I’m sorry; I sound weird… please forget that I said anything…”

It is like how in a crowd, you are probably afraid to help an old person who has fallen, but as soon as one person helps- more people start to get involved? It is that basic premise but applied to murders.” “My point was, as soon as we figure out that the victims were murdered with the same weapon, most would assume that it was done by the same murderer. Infact, one could use that to their advantage if they really wanted to. But in this situation if you were the murderer and you were to murder me with the murder weapon, that would be dumb because we wouldn’t have to find 2 murderers, just one.” “Though you could murder me now and not of been Colton’s killer. But as soon as you stab me with a bread knife, I would scream that the stalker stabbed me and you would get away with it. Colton’s killer murdered at night because we were in our sound proof rooms.”

Making his way to the bath house, he say a girl with bows in her hair looking through the lockers. “Do you need help with that?” Takahiro questioned the girl with the bow. “My name is Isamu Takahiro- SHSL Psychologist.”

"Oh!" Iris was caught by surprise. She glanced at the Psychologist, who she assumed was glaring at her for looking through lockers and possibly looking like a pervert (What am I kidding? I look like a total pervert!). "My name's Iris... Super High School Level... um... Stalker..."

She continued, "I'm trying to look for the murder weapon right since it's missing." She tilted her head down, her bangs falling out of place, "I want to make myself useful for the investigation... even if it's only for something small..."

Suddenly, she realized that she was talking out loud. She blushed in embarrassment, "Ah! I'm so sorry, Isamu! I must sound really weird..."

Iris made a bee-line to the kitchen and scanned the room, looking for clues.

On the floor of the kitchen is a bowl of turned over pomegranates which were once on the counter top. There is a footprint in the mess of purple fruit that’s only the size of the heel of a shoe, which isn’t much to use to determine which shoe had stepped in it.

The knife rack has one thing missing — the bread knife. It’s long enough to make a deep wound, so that is most likely the murder weapon, but at the moment, it is AWAL. It’s in a place least expected…

Maybe the murder weapon is with the murderer… Iris thought, I’ll have to go ask everyone… later… She shivered at the thought of trying to ask someone so casually about a murder weapon. Oh, and the thought of speaking to someone.

She continued on her train of thought, I won’t really get anywhere with the footprints, so maybe I should check the body again…

She shook her head in refusal, But I don’t want to go back… there… She thought about the body that just laid out there. Even despite the preservation of the crime scene and current circumstances, she would have thought that someone would at least have the decency to bury his body.

After the trial… I’ll go help… bury his body… She decided, But for now, I’m going to check the body again.

She left the kitchen and tried to recall any leads from her original observations, but couldn’t really think of any. I should ask about everyone’s alibis… She mentally slapped herself before she could resist, You are going to do this, Iris. You have to make yourself useful…

In the hallway, the body lay face down in a pool of his own blood, a deep knife wound in his back. It seems that it only took one strike to pierce the heart, so it was most likely caused by a bread knife.

Footprints lead to the end of the hall and then disappear completely. The culprit most likely realized that they were leaving a trail and took their shoe off before going to clean it. Before they could return to clean up their mess, the body had already been discovered.

The murder weapon is, as you know, currently missing.

She observed the footprints again. That means that the murder is recent... and one strike? The culprit must be strong... Most likely a boy, then... She surveyed her classmates, mentally measuring their strength. Most of the girls don't seem to be strong enough to impale someone... and most of the boys too... but I could very well be wrong.

She decided to change her approach to the investigation, I'm going to try to look around for the murder weapon... She tried to remember some of the places she had been to already in the building, I already checked the kitchen... someone will surely check the cafeteria.... maybe the bath house?

She decided on the bath house, since no one would think to check it.

Iris had thought that she could trust her classmates. She hoped that somehow, they would all escape this mutual killing. However, among her classmates was a murderer. A cold-blooded murderer. Someone who was about to spend their whole high school career with her. Someone who she trusted.

And now, that murderer was going to escape the school without being punished.

Despite being distraught, she decided to visit the scene, at least to pay respects to her late classmate (whoever he was) and to gather some clues to make herself useful. She sat down about ten feet away from the body, avoiding conversation with her other classmates investigating the body. She closed her eyes and thought to herself, sort of a mental letter to poor Fin Colton.

Um... hello! I.. uh... actually don't know you... but uh... my name is Iris... and... I'm the Super High School Level... uh... Stalker. Just so you know... we're all working hard... to avenge your death... Even though none of us really got to know you... I'm sure that you are a wonderful person.

Her light blue eyes fluttered open. She repeated to herself, I'm going to help. I'm going to make myself useful. I'm going to stop the killing before it starts again.

She stared at the lifeless body, trying to analyze for clues. She gulped. This is going to be harder than it looks.

"N-n-n-no way..."

Iris stared at her envelope. Tears streamed down her eyes. No one, no one should hear of this. Ever.

She felt light-headed, even moreso than when she had first arrived her and heard of this mutual killing. How... how did he get it... I thought... it was kept locked away... I thought it was from my past... She thought, I moved on... and now...

I can't take this anymore... She glanced around her classmates. B-but I can't kill them... they're my classmates... even with mutual killing...
