my best friend drew laima aaaaah
{ @shslgymnastyori - Pre-Despair - Gotta go fast! }
Yori raised an eyebrow, putting her arms behind her back. Why would someone ask a question like this? You don’t need others to train you, you train yourself!
”…Train you?”, looking a bit confused, she continued, “Why would you ask me?”, that was a dumb response. She knew why the girl asked her, I mean, she was basically the best athlete in the area. But then, no one really spoke to her, so this was surprising, she couldn’t help but wonder.
Laima frowned, moving her head back and forth at her face and the ground. "W-well..uh.." She reviewed in her head what her two friends did during sports. One pulled up a lawn chair and the other went into the shade. She had no other option, the other athletes in the school were either too scary for her or didn't like her.
"B-Because I don't think I've talked to you before..l-like this.." Laima was the class representative for the first part of the year, she didn't continue being one because she was focusing on too many things. She only talked to her classmates in a business-like manner. "A-anyway..is it okay..?"
{ @shslgymnastyori - Pre-Despair - Gotta go fast! }
Yori was listening to every word that was said about the Festival, mainly because this was what she looked forward to every year. It was a perfect way to show her Father she could do it, be better than the others.
As she looked around the class, she noticed how mentally out of shape everyone was. No one else was really paying attention, which really bugged her. She didn’t understand, how could people be so un-interested.
As class ended, she looked at the board, but before she could read anything, a small female was suddenly speaking to her. Wasn’t that odd? “…Hm?”, tilting her head, she looked down at the female, “What is it.”
Laima adjusted her glasses and glanced at the ground. She never talked to anyone in this class, she had two people in another classroom she talked with but she felt like the loner in this classroom. "U-uh...I'm sorry am I blocking your way..?" She stepped to the side, letting her read the board.
The blonde kept her hands tightly to her body, she stood up straight and had a notebook with her at all times. "I-If you already saw it..I'm the third person in the relay...and I saw how you were the last to finish.." She cleared her throat, sweating. "C-could you please train..me?"
{ @shslgymnastyori - Gotta go fast! }
Laima sat in the corner off the classroom, dozing off as the teacher explained the rules and roles about the sports festival. She closed her eyes for a moment and almost fell back in her chair once the bell rang. The blonde heard her classmates talk as she looked up at the board. "...Oh..Let's see..relay...Laima...Hashimoto?!" She read the board, standing up in her chair.
Laima was good at multiple things, studying, writing and having a calm and organized personality. But..sports was another thing. When the final bell rang, she nervously walked up to one of her classmates. Yori Hayashi, the girl in class who told everyone to 'get fit'. "U-uh...Hayashi-san..? May I ask you for a favor..?"

laima keeps the video player and the CD when they leave and adds it to her shrine
she prints out all the pictures and keeps it in a locked drawer
Yuuma paused, frowning. “So… D-do you think they’re…?” He didn’t finish his question, hoping she’d understand what the last word would be. Yuuma hoped it wasn’t that faceless person, though, because the upcoming trial would be downright impossible…
She asked if he had found any other clues and Yuuma sighed. “Besides that and the newspapers, nothing.” He frowned. They had to escape. They had to. But at this rate…
The images flashed on the screen, then it went black again. "I've seen this so many times, I've memorized everything.." Laima leaned back, closing her eyes. She looked down and saw the video was still going, "Wait a second.."
A picture slowly faded in, it was everyone hugging someone. "Who...is that?" She said, seeing how everyone was happy with the woman there.
Yuuma nodded slowly. “If you say it now, we can expand on your theory.” He said it quietly, more talking to himself than her. Maybe she didn’t feel the same way.
When Laima pointed out the girl, Yuuma nodded and leaned in a bit, looking at her.
"Anything different? What do you mean?" He paused. "…Can you see her face in any of the pictures or anything?"
"No, it's blocked no matter what. I even paused during videos to see if they're there or if there's a small hint on who they are." Laima found the person again and re-winded the video. "...ugh.." She rubbed her eyes and paused the video again, looking down.
"Anyway, did you find any other clues about who's behind all of this?"
He nodded, following her until she had the CD and a video player. Yuuma cleared his throat quietly.
"S-so… Um. Do you have any ideas on who the mastermind might be?" he asked, biting his lip, hoping she’d have an idea. One he could build off of. Laima was smart, she was rarely wrong.
She set up the video player, putting the disc in and waiting for it to load. "..The mastermind.." Laima stared at the screen, watching it. "I was going to save it for the trial, but it doesn't hurt to say it now. I have a theory that the one behind the bear thing is....a classmate? Er.." She cleared her throat, the CD ready to play.
"Here. Focus on the girl who's blocked and see if there's anything different." She sat down, putting the device on her lap.
"No," he said, a bit louder than he expected. Surprised by his own voice, he paused, the shook his head. "I want to watch it with you. I-it’s hard, yeah, b-but… We need to find out who’s behind this. We need to get out, no matter what." He bit his lip.
"L-let’s go."
Laima smiled, "Good." She didn't expect him to agree, after all watching a video of your classmates who are now dead was painful. She didn't expect for anyone to want to watch it again. "Follow me." She turned, heading towards the bathhouse.
She entered it, going to a locker and opening it. "I believe it's right..here." Laima pulled out a mini video player and the CD case.
{ @shsl-soccerplayer - Aren't we the same? }
His shoulders slumped, “We… haven’t died yet. There are five of us left…” He looked very very tired all of a sudden. “Our last trial… huh? I can’t wait.” He bit his lip and began to walk to the exit, turning his head toward Laima, “Do you have anything else to tell me? I… ought to get some rest before this legendary final trial.”
"I should congratulate everyone on making it this far." Laima looked up at him, "..." She began to feel worried, the last trial. The last time that they will ever step foot into the elevator. She shook her head, "Yes, I suggest for everyone to rest and be prepared for this trial. It's rather important.." She stood up and collected all of her things.
{ @shsl-soccerplayer - Aren't we the same? }
He looked up at her, “What did you get?” He was confused, and that was simply it. Jamie looked normal again, even if it was only for a second. This second flashed by, and Jamie stood up next to Laima, towering over her. His eyes were still as wide as they were before, but they looked more determined, if one could show both insanity and determination in their face.
"We have to find out who they are next trial anyway so we don’t die. Does this mean you know who it is?”
Laima looked up at him, it was not a surprise to her that he questioned her. "No, it does not mean that." She closed the device and put it next to her. "I know that, but we haven't died yet have we? Just because I'm left alone in my investigation team means that I'm not determined to get out of here." She looked down at her feet, "I'll talk about it next trail. Don't worry, it'll be our last one."
{ @shsl-soccerplayer - Aren't we the same? }
"I haven’t been outside for so long… I need to go out there…" He mumbled to himself as he eyed the video. "What do these mean? We’ve never met each other. Never!" He swallowed as an idea struck him, "And isn’t there a lot of stuff in the CD? I see all four seasons there, why? Did we know each other for a year and didn’t know about it? That just doesn’t seem possible!"
"..C-calm down..I'm sure Monobear put it there to make us confused...but..why..?" She thought about it, there was a 50 percent chance he put it there and there was a 50 percent chance it was left there. "..." She started connecting all the puzzles in her head and gasped. "...I got it!" She stood up, "I'm not positive but I'm sure that's it!"
Laima remembered that Jamie was next to her. "Ah..right. A-anyway, I think we'll find the mastermind the next trail.."
{ @shsl-soccerplayer - Aren't we the same? }
Jamie took the player and placed it on his lap. He stared at the screen, eye widening and twitching as it all went on. He shoved it toward her again, looking away from her as it finished.
"W-what is this?” The CD showed pictures and videos. It was of them. Them all. They were all there, living and breathing, smiling and happy. “W-we… we never knew one another before this, have we?” He began to tremble slightly and his eyes widened in fear.
She lowered the screen of the device and put it next to her notebooks."..I-I don't know...I'm..." She tried to remember everything that happened when she was at the front of the school gates. She walked in, felt dizzy and she woke up in a classroom. Laima lifted up the screen and pressed play, watching the videos and the images. "The background...it shows that we're outside.."
{ @shsl-soccerplayer - Aren't we the same? }
"…A CD?" He looked at her with an eyebrow raised, "What does that CD have on it? Anything interesting at all?" He went back to his and glared at it. Then he just continued fiddling with it.
"I found it on a teacher's desk in one of the empty classrooms." Laima walked up to one of the lockers and unlocked one, taking out a small video player. "I already watched it, but I think you need to see this.." She put the video player on her lap and put the CD in, handing the device to him.
