sorry to say but this blog is... almost 3 years old i think and we havent been active in definitely more than a year. but my friend siri is currently (as of 6/16/16) holding auditions for her DR VA blog, you can audition for the characters that are left!

Yes, the most updated and accurate thing you'll find is the cast page. Any of the old posts are innacurate now! Sorry for the confusion.

For every actor I have added on skype, I have sent a message to them personally asking if they still want to be part of this blog. If I don't get responses by the 31st, I will be re-opening your role on the blog!

Hi, just wondering if someone with a slightly feminine voice could be Hinata or Kamukura? If so, is it too late to audition?
Actually, that's completely okay! I don't believe we have Kamukura on our charater list, but it should be fine for Hinata!
And we do not have any deadline! There's no need for one since there's not going to be any competition for the roles! So you can audition at any time!
I'm curious about something if i may. Regarding requests and questions, Are the script writers going to be sending the VA's the script for the answer to the question or a request that was made? Also i'm a little concerned about the posting purposes because the only place i'm able to post my responce or audio for a request. is on soundcloud. unfortunately i don't have a recording program on my computer. (sorry if this is a bothersome question but i thought it would be wise to ask)
Script writers will here for writing audio plays and multi-character requests, and can help out actors with questions if they need it. Work goes a lot faster if actors are able to write out their own answers, though. But it shouldn’t be a problem if they need occasional help.
To your next question, it shouldn’t be a problem. I’m able to record sound directly from the speakers without using a microphone, so I’ll be able to use that for audio mixing and all. For questions, it wouldn’t be a problem to use a soundcloud audio post to reply to questions.

Actually, we’re keeping extra characters off the cast list until the cast list is full.
Also, if you go to our Cast List, you’ll see which characters don’t have auditions. Characters without actors means they have no auditions. Since this is first-come-first-serve, that means that character has no auditions at all.
But characters with actors, are we aloud to audition for them still?
Sorry. No, those already been cast. You can wait till extras open up or try for characters you wouldn't normally try out for.

Hello SHSLNewcomers (and assoc. mods), I am very, very, VERY interested in breaking into voice acting, as well as having a great affinity for Gundam Tanaka. Thus, I have two requests: The first is that I am able to place a reservation for an audition, and the second is that I inquire about the technical requirements of the position (eg, what kind of microphone/sound systems would I need to buy/install). I have a fairly simple mic and recording program, but I don't know if they're up to snuff....
Hello! I’ll answer both your questions!
1.Yes, you may place a reservation for Gundam Tanaka! I’ll make an edit to the cast list to say he is reserved for now! I’ll keep him on reserve for 2-3 weeks!
2.The requirements are extremely low! Extremely! You could have the crappiest mic in the world! We wouldn’t care! Though this may be different for different projects, the idea is to get you inspired to buy a better microphone!
For programs, something as simple and free as audacity would be fine! Almost everyone I know in the voice acting community uses audacity! For quality purposes, you’ll want a program with options and editing tools (like audacity). Options like compression and noise removal can save your LIFE!
what format are requests supposed to be in? is it like we're asking the characters questions?
You can ask the characters questions, or request certain scenes or pairings to be played out.
Can I audition as a VA for Naegi, Komaeda or Kuzuryuu?
Komaeda and Kuzuryuu are open, so sure! Naegi is taken, however. You can see what roles still need to be filled on our Cast page.
