It's been a while since I bombarded you all with a swarm of beetle photos. So here are some beetles I've stitched, including some little peeks under 'the hood'. :D

I do, I've been trying to figure out if there's any way to edit them sufficiently.

These were taken at 12,000 ISO (ridiculously high) and are just noisy as fuck. They look okay at a distance, right?

If you're on mobile they probably don't seem to bad, even if you're on a reasonably sized monitor looking at them un-expanded. A little low-clarity maybe, but it's also an odd sorta-monochrome situation with really harsh light.

And then you zoom in, or open it up fully, and there's just. No detail.

They're so grainy they look out of focus and it's driving me up a wall.

They'd probably be fine for reference work and I know that, but man, that's not the quality of photos I want to provide for the site. And I was really excited to get you all super cute baby pool wrestling photos!

The lesson here is: if you're shooting manual and fucking around with extreme settings, always always always reset them before you go do the next thing.

...and I'm already dreaming about driving back for a do-over...

It's wild blueberry season in Sweden and I've been picking and eating my fill everyday from the forest behind my house! The entire forest floor is covered in wild blueberry bushes and the tangy taste is so cosmic, I had to paint them✨ Photos of the berries I picked!

Another design is using 2 20x25x1 filters, taping them to the sides of the box fan and then to each other so they sort of make a triangle, then cutting cardboard to make a top and bottom to the triangle.

I’ve personally used both the flat single-filter version AND the triangular two-filter version, and based on subjective personal experience I would argue that the benefits from the second filter, both in terms of airflow and filtration, are absolutely worth it. If you need a makeshift air filter and you have two filters to work with, build the triangle (if not the box, i have no idea how good that one works but based on the info here i presume it’s a fair bit better.)
