Monobear Theatre | Lux Aeterna | Hana's Execution
"I'm sorry."
Those are the last words that Hana Aoki whispers in the court room, before the chain snaps out, wrapping around her neck as she gets dragged out the set of double doors. There is a long pause before the large screen sputters to life - Hana has been changed, and is snow standing in a traditional tank-top styled unitard of a blood red color.
The light brightens around her, revealing a large gymnastics ring in front of her, and then a long table behind it, full of Monobears dressed up with paperwork in front of them, and a single Monobear standing by the stage with two red flags. Hana looks nervous as she gets handed her favorite apparatus - in this case, a smooth stick holding a length of ribbon. There is a machine with two distinct parts. The left side shows a timer that reads 1:25. The second part has two scores: The first is her opening score: 10.00. The second part, currently reading 0.00, reads end score.

Hana strikes a pose, before she starts moving with the ribbon. However, it becomes clear as she wraps it around herself in a graceful motion that something isn't quite right - it slashes against her, opening up dozens of small cuts across her. Finally, she leaps and throws the ribbon into the air, but it does not come down. Instead, Hana gasps as a pair of clubs come tumbling down, and she fumbles for them, not having both hands ready for them. The Monobear Judges shake their heads slightly, noting the technical penalty.
Hana's nerves are shot, as she is not used to apparatus switching. However, she amends her performance as the clock ticks down - but once again, she goes for a toss, and this time, she ends up with a black and white rubber ball emblazoned with Monobears' face on it. The ball she works with even worse than the clubs, accidently dropping it. The cameras swoop in, showing the fright on her face and the terror as she notes her own penalties.
She was the youngest winner of a international all-around rhythmic gymnast competition... you would think this isn't that hard for her - but she's performing not just for the crowd, but for her life.
The ball goes, followed this time by a length of rope. This segment goes smoothly, even as the clock ticks over. It's been over a minute, and sweat streams down her face as she tries to figure what's coming next - and at 1:05, the rope goes, and she catches what looks like a hula hoop, which she gives a wary look too. She flicks an anxious work at the clock, and continues going on - and as the clock hits Zero, she drops to her knees, hoop laying on the ground around her.
The Monobears shuffle their paperwork. It seems like forever to Hana, but in reality, only a few minutes pass, before they make their decision. She looks up at the score card as it flashes... 9.50. Hana lets out a sigh of relief, as it seems like she's gotten safe, she finally beat the game - before the floor underneath her suddenly opens up. She falls screaming, which seems to eerily come closer and closer to the students in the courtroom.
The camera moves, peering down the long hallway Hana is falling in. At the end, she crashes into the floor - and the ceiling above the trial room shudders. The camera zooms in closer, showing the mangled remains of the gymnast - from the twisted legs, to the visible bones, to the blood pooling out. However, it is not that that draws the eye...
But the slow plink, plink, plink of blood dripping from a crack in the ceiling to the middle of the courtroom.
Hana Aoki, SHSL Rhythmic Gymnast, has been executed.
