A Surprising response!|Suzu|Motive reaction+Open
Allen likes quiet, peace, because that’s when his head isn’t a mess and he can think for once. This ‘gameshow’ is just a mess of loud noises and too much chaos. He doesn’t…he doesn’t like that.
His hands instinctively fly to his ears at he hears the sound of flesh hitting the floor, wincing as a swear flies from the eyepatched girl’s mouth.
“H-hey…I know you’re upset…but…”
He tentatively reaches out to touch the girl on the shoulder, hoping to grab her attention that way.
“Hey…can you…take a deep breath, maybe? That always helps me when I get really panicked and stuff.”
Suzu blinked, not expecting someone to even walk her way. She was in her own world for the moment she hurt her hand. It was...hurt, right? She held it up as Allen spoke to her, examining the bruises to the knuckles before looking over at Allen. This would seem painful, wouldn’t it?
“Sorry....I...”
She looked from Allen to the ground, her body shaking a bit. Here, she tried to act strong, but instead Suzu crumbled. Her quiet and curious ‘self’ was replaced with someone she warned others about: a slightly emotional wreck. ...She was a disappointment.
“What can I do to protect my...loved one and my fellow students all at once? I don’t...”
She trailed off, only to try to take the deep beath Allen suggested.
A Surprising response!|Suzu|Motive reaction+Open
“Heeeey, hey hey…”
And suddenly Higanbana was kneeling in front of her. It seems she didn’t get very far after all. Likely because one of her friends hurting her poor knuckles was more important than baking.
“Can I see your hand?”
Higanbana’s smile was back to normal again as she took Suzu’s hand, not bothering to wait for a reply. Her other hand went to the pocket of her dress and she pulled out - oh, not a bandaid, not ointment, or anything like that. No, she pulled out…individually-wrapped caramel candies? Still smiling, Higanbana pressed them into Suzu’s palm.
“Hey, listen, things’ll work out! Mom always says that things will turn out okay eventually, and it’s important to stay positive and look on the bright side! If you stay upset and keep punching the floor, then…well, I dunno, but it won’t be nice!” Her smile looked a little sheepish before she spoke again. “We’ll be fine and our loved ones will all be safe. Don’t you worry, Suzu-chan~”
Suzu didn’t notice the damage she had brought to her hand. Her knuckles looked purple. She plowed too hard onto the floor with her fist, only for it to be held by Higanbana. They were roommates now, weren’t they? So perhaps, because of that, Suzu felt a sort of closeness with her, even if they were still newly acquainted. Still, the fact that she was being so nice...did Suzu even deserve this? She had no way to answer that. She was of course, also surprised to find the candy in her hand. A single tear fell down her cheek as she looked at Higanbana. Was she really...crying?
“My mother....she’s....”
She whispered into the pink haired girl’s ear then, the candy wrapped tightly in her fist. She didn’t want anyone else to know. Didn’t want people to think her weaker than she was.
“There’s....if she doesn’t...then what can I do?
For someone who preached keeping emotions to a low, she was certainly in a frenzy....
Higanbana is the princess of my heart....

deathdropgameshow:
Her grip on reality seemed to be lost, at this time. A girl who acted calm and without concern earlier shivered when she heard that motive. Yes, she voted on a fast death for her loved one, but did she really believe it? Of course not! And yet, something about how Julia spoke made her believe every word. ‘You’ll always be with me, won’t you, momma?' Her mind wandered to an earlier memory as she stood there, shivering. Her guard was completely down as she remained there, with the others. She thought of the time when her mother could walk again. Of the time she knew her mother understood her words. …It wasn’t like that anymore. But, even so, Suzu always hoped that her mother would be ok in the end. Even if it had been quite some time since she walked or spoke, there was still hope…right? “Damn…it…” A fist slammed onto the cold floor, a surprising amount of anger in her quiet words. She punched the floor again and again with her left fist, making her knuckles change color after awhile.

Strength? What a laugh. Eri bit her lip and nodded shortly to the other girl’s words, but they were clearly not believed. Wasting time with her mindless rambling and inability to get through a day without crying were basically her talents, with translating as a side.
“… Y-yes, I suppose that’s true.”
Eri cracked a smile, taking the tissue from Suzu to dab away at the remaining tears. She couldn’t be that person, but maybe that was hard for a strong person to understand. Clearly the people behind this wanted them to panic; cry, scream, distrust one another, but there was only one of those things she could prevent herself from doing.
She simply wasn’t that brave.
“… M-my name is Eri Narukami, by the way. Um, th-the SHSL Translator.”
Suzu offered the girl a small smile. She didn’t seem to smile often, butshe figured, though she tried hard at it, Eri might need something like it.
“I’m Suzu Suzuki, the SHSL Stunt Double. It’s...a pleasure.”
Suzu offered a small bow before going on. It may have seemed over the top, but for Suzu, it was probably fine.
“I might go to my room and rest soon, but I hope you come to me if you’re...scared like this again. I don’t exactly....know how to comfort well, but I can try....”
Thank You||Suzu||Chapter one||ATTN: Higanbana
“A-Ah!”
“U-Uhm…w-well, the floor’s not that bad, and I don’t have to sleep on it…”
But she is, because Higanbana is prissy about beds like that. But yeah, the floor is pretty bad, and makes her body all sore in the morning.
But she was still definitely thinking over that offer….
“U-Uhm…I really appreciate it, I’d love to take you up on it, but are you sure onii-chan won’t consider that breaking rules? I’d hate to see a sweet girl punished on my behalf! I’d just never forgive myself, Suzu-chan!”
Suzu shook her head at the response. It was simply no good. If Higanbana were to protect herself-no, if Suzu was going to do her part and help protect her classmates, she couldn’t let Higanbana do that. It was, simply put, too dangerous a decision.
“It’s ok. I’d rather break a rule and help someone out then have a fellow student potentially get hurt.”
She shrugged before saying more.
“If you don’t take this offer though, I might slip the key on you regardless. Then we’d both be without a room to protect us.
Suzu sounded surprisingly calm about this.

greenwworld:
“Yeah, it is.”
He stared at her as he sat on the edge of the pool. How did she miss him stomping in? Good question, he had no clue either. All he knew was that he did not mind seeing her swimming like that. Would he get punched in the face? He deserved to, but he didn’t really think that far.
He’d just wanted to drop by the pool, and, well, there was someone here. At least she was cute. Please just punch this perv
“Um, you’re uh. Giving the water a mighty beating with that kind of style. Just saying.” Here we see the mun attempting to make these two interact. Unfortunately, Kai is an ass. Please don’t mind him.
Suzu turned away from her swimming for a moment to look at the boy. She really hadn’t noticed him, now had she? Perhaps it was because she’d been so focused on her swimming. It was her form of calming down, in this god awful situation. Even for Suzu, this was a tough time to deal with. She was just good at hiding it. Regardless, too bad Suzu didn’t get his phrasing. Any form of perverse behavior would often go over her head. Poor Suzu.....
“Did you want to join me for a dip?”
She tilted her head to the side, an innocent look on her face as Suzu looked the boy up and down with her single pupil. If something else, especially about her, was meant, the girl just wouldn’t get it. Not right away, at least. Oops.
“I’m a pretty avid swimmer. At some point, I considered changing my talent to super high school level swimmer, but...”
She pointed to the eyepatch and shrugged. It just wasn’t meant to be, after that happened. She’d need more vision to swim competitively...right?
“My name is Suzu Suzuki. I’m a stunt double. Yourself?”

“Hm, well, I do bake and I am that very baker! My talent is Confectionary Decorator but I still–”
“Ahaha, never mind!”
Her smile faded only a liiittle bit. Hm, something important? This sounded, well, serious. Oh man, is this girl allergic to something in her cupcakes?!
“Ah, what is it? Fire away.”
Unless you have a gun, in which case, don’t.
Suzu nodded at her introduction. It made sense, considering how well crafted the cupcakes she made were. Still, noticing how rude Suzu seemed, she decided to prepare some sort of introduction before going on. It was the least she could do, right?
“I forgot to introduce myself: Suzu Suzuki, stunt double. It’s something, I guess.”
She shrugged before going on. Suzu didn’t think super highly of her talent. It was just doing her job, right?
“Do you need somewhere to sleep at night? I’d hate to see someone so nice get killed off for lack of a bed....”
Well, that was blunt. At least she cared?????
Splish Splash?||Suzu||ATTN: Kai
Time went on and Suzu found herself with a one piece swimsuit and a choice. She could either stay around with all the negative air (for the most part), or she could do one of the things she did best; swim and maintain her strength. In these sorts of situations, one had to keep their strengths about them….right? The girl took a step into the cold pool, her expression unchanging to the temperature. It didn’t even bother her, which might seem strange to someone else. And of course, it wasn’t long before the stunt double began to swim laps in the pool, pumping her arms in and out of the water as she went along. Her thrasding about could likely cause someone to look if they were nearby. After all, who the hell would go swimming at a time like this? What if someone decided to do something to the water? Suzu, however, seemed calm and focused as she thrashed about in the pool. Of course, if someone neared the pool itself, she wouldn’t have known. “This is nice." Once again, the mun is kind of just guessing what sort of scenario might bring kids together and failing at it. Nice.
Ic, did the thing,
Just a doll||Suzu||Reaction+ATTN: Eri
Suzu shook her head at Eri and offered a sad smile. From what she could tell, the restroom was closeby, but she wasn’t sure if it would help Eri to have a tissue or paper cloth in hand to wipe her tears. Unlike Suzu, Eri knew that she felt fearful. Who would want to die, right? It was completely understandable.
“Thank you, but I’m not brave. Just stubborn. I finally have the chance to…socialize with other kids my age. So I want to protect that and something else.”
Sure, she didn’t feel strong enough to do so, but Suzu didn’t care. Soon, she moved towards the restroom, even going so far as to hold open the door and wait on Eri.
“You’re…sorry? You don’t need to apologize to me. You had a completely ordinary reaction. Especially considering the host seems trapped and in danger just like we are.”
She tilted her head, obviously confused by the poor girl’s apologizes. But after speaking, Suzu remained silent and let Eri speak. She was confused as it was to be mistaken for brave as opposed to foolish. But the girl was kind and scared. She needed to be protected.
Stubborn felt like the wrong word, further so when Suzu followed it up by proclaiming that she wanted to protect what was supposed to be a simple and fun time with classmates. The translator shook her head lightly, both arms tightly wrapped around herself.
“… W-wanting to pro-protect that… e-even if y-you don’t want to c-call it ‘brave’, i-it’s strong. Th-this wasn’t supposed to b-be like this… a-and thinking that s-someone’s poor loved o-ones might h-have to see them d… die… Wh-who c-could do th-this…?”
Eri followed the girl obediently to the restroom, feeling a small wash of relief as they entered. The cameras were still in here, but not as plentiful. This was as private as things were going to get for a long time.
“A-ah, n-no, I-I meant… f-for w-wasting your t-time… Miss Julia, a-and you, a-and s-some of the o-others aren’t… panicking like me. C-crying won’t solve anything, a-and I know it, b-but I s-still…”
Unfortunately, knowing it did not stop her from doing it. Again, Eri wiped away the new tracks of tears that had fallen, clamping her teeth down on the inside of her cheek at the same time to hold back a sob.
Suzu splashed cold water in her face, if only to try and feel the cold temperature against her skin. Blinking, she was certain it made her feel...better probably. But this was about the girl she brought in here. The girl who seemed teary eyed, even now. She wished to protect everyone, her included, if it were possible.
“You’re not wasting anyone’s time. You have your own sort of strength. It’s why...you were accepted to the school.”
She pulled for a tissue then offered it to Eri before looking away for a moment. Someone they loved potentially dying, huh? Over her dead body.
“Just don’t let them see you cry. Because then, they have you there forever....”
Suzu pointed at the camera. If the person behind this wanted a show, surely tears made it better....right?

superconfectiondecor:
Higanbana stood in the outdoors, hands clasped in front of herself, admiring the area. Well, it wasn’t the real outside, but it sure looked the part! She had to give credit for that. Maybe there was a SHSL Landscaper who had done it. Who knew?
She took a few more steps, enjoying her walk and staying far away from the pool.
“….Um…Are you….busy right now?”
“Hm?”
Higanbana looked over her shoulder, then a second later twirled around to face her housemate fully, her usual smile on her face.
“Ah! No, I’m not busy at all! I was just looking around ‘outside~‘”
“Did you need something? I’m happy to help with anything you throw at me!”
She tapped her chest at those words, as if expecting the stuntgal to literally throw something at her.
Suzu blinked at the girl who seemed much too happy despite the situation at hand. She had on an apron, which gave Suzu one conclusion to draw to. She wasn’t sure if she was right or not, but it was certainly worth asking, was it not?
“You’re....the baker who made those pretty cupcakes before, right?”
She stared at the girl, hoping that this was the person. She wanted to find her ever since she received the present. No one had given her a present before, save her her parents. She was grateful, but also very confused. The stunt double waited for a response before adding more.
“Because....if that you, I have something important to ask you...”
Hmmm. Whatever could she mean?
Hey guys! Please, if I'm on late, just assume I went to the gym for an hour after I went to work! This will make my replies more frequent when I get used to my 'tough as nails' work out regimen I'm thrusting upon myself! I've noticed my lack of energy and such, so ye! I'm sorry I'm late on a lot though!
Currently at the gym, you guys! I'll be there for threading plans and such in 20 mins or so! See ya then~

Suzu wasn’t doing anything wrong; a harsh breeze could make Eri Narukami cry. Any other day, and she would have minded her own business and left this girl to her self-deprecating devices, but when they were frankly told to kill each other and do their best to get away with it, her brain wasn’t level.
However, despite the reaction that garnered either annoyance or mirrored panic, Suzu looked at her with a steady gaze. Unnerving. Likely because Eri speaking up made it seem like she thought Suzu was insensitive, of all things.
“N-no, not… i-insentive, i-it’s m-more brave… th-than anything else. B-but, I…”
She what? Still wanted to pretend this was a joke? Wanted to believe that help would come for them if they held on long enough?
Fingers brushed against her cheek, and Eri winced when she felt the water on the tips. Yeah, she was still crying. Big shock there. Now she was being an inconvenience for this girl, on top of bossing her around.
“I-I’m sorry, y-you don’t… o… okay. Anywhere but… here w-will be better…”
Suzu shook her head at Eri and offered a sad smile. From what she could tell, the restroom was closeby, but she wasn’t sure if it would help Eri to have a tissue or paper cloth in hand to wipe her tears. Unlike Suzu, Eri knew that she felt fearful. erinarukami:
She didn’t recognize the voice, but the very thought of anyone dying sent a sharp surge of despair down Eri’s spine. None of them deserved to die, no matter what their job was. If any of them were desperate enough to murder a student, then… then…
Then what? They’ll go for the easy targets; people crying, panicking, and those who bluntly offered their own sacrifice.
Wiping away the tears slipping down her cheeks, Eri kept her hands clasped close to her chest as she looked up, just in time to see the departing back of the girl who spoke. She had to say something - anything. She didn’t want anyone to die, or to be in the mindset where they think such awful things.
“W-wai– pl-please w-wait…!”
Catching up to the other, Eri’s tongue felt useless in her mouth while she tried to work out her next sentence. Her vision was a pathetic blur of tears, her throat hurt, her limbs were trembling, and she was terrified.
“I-I… I-I know we d-don’t know each o-other, b-but I don’t w-want you to die… I-I don’t w-want an-anyone to die…! I-it’s n-not my place t-to tell y-you, b-but please, don’t… th-throw your l-life away. W-we can a-all get out, together…! W-we’re on… we’re on TV, r-right?”
Not very reassuring, coming from the wavering voice of a crying girl.
Suzu turned when the girl spoke up. She seemed so upset, and for good reason: Their very lives were at stake here! Had Suzu been....insensitive when she announced her offer to let whomever needed to kill her? Was that foolish? Horrible? Truth be told, the stunt double didn’t truly know how most girls her age were supposed to act. All she did know, of course, was that she crossed a line somewhere along the way.
She scratched her head and looked Eri in the eyes, her expression still blank as when she spoke before. Oh goodness: She probably seemed insensitive still, didn’t she? How could she talk to her on a reassuring level? How did girls help each other in times like these? Going to the bathroom was a common practice with other girls her age, right?
“I’m sorry if my comment seemed insensitive. I simply feel that I should be held responsible for protecting those I can.”
Well, protect them by not trying to put yourself to the plate as a POTENTIAL TARGET, SUZU!
“Lets get you cleaned up. If...this is true, you don’t want them to think you weak. Show them...strength.”

deathdropgameshow:
The news came to such a shock to everyone. They were supposed to kill each other then? Suzu herself didn’t even look at Julia or anyone else as the news was brought to their attention. She simply stared at her hands, opening and closing them slowly as one thought came to mind. Something she heard earlier…. “I bet you’re just someone that can be easily tossed away and replaced, right? ….I’m sure people don’t care either way, but hey, it’s all good since you’re here with the rest of us~.” Was it good then, in this situation? Would she be ‘useful’ in this tragic change of events? Could she be useful for something like this? After a time, she spoke, hoping those who wavered or worried might hear it.
”…If anyone is desperate enough to kill someone, I don’t mind dying to protect the whole. My duty is to protect others. It would simply be….doing my job.“ What? The hell? Why was she saying such a nasty, horrible thing? Did she really value her life so little? When she finished speaking, Suzu left the crowd expressionless and took a small breath. She was no knight, but hopefully her offer would keep someone to harming anyone else foolishly. What she didn’t realize was the fact that she may have spooked some people by doing this.
