I'll be honest. Ever since we moved I've been lonely. Really lonely. It seems like all the friends we had fell away, and I haven't been able to make any others to fill that void. It's been really bothering me the past few months, especially with the idea of a wedding on my mind now. I asked my fiance' for us to do something non-traditional because I wouldn't know what I'd do for a bridal party, or a bachelorette party... I'm not close to anyone. And I can't tell you how much that's been upsetting me.

Today I decided I need to change that. Completely. I bookmarked a ton of different running and cycling clubs in the area. I looked up creative writing groups, even though I haven't written in 3 years. And I vowed that I'm going to start talking to people at the climbing gym, even though there's not a community at the gym like I'm used to.

I want to meet new people. I just need to put the work in to make that happen. No more feeling like shit and making myself feel bad. The opportunities are there, I just need to go after them.

And to add to this, if you're in the Ambler/Fort Washington/Plymouth Meeting/Horsham/Lansdale/Philly, PA area, and are interested in physical activity of any kind whatsoever (or climb at PRG EF), I'd love to get to know you!
