Crush

Just going to rant for a bit.

I am in my mid-20s and I think I just got my first crush. I've dated before but always because friends pushed me to. I have had to fake crushes my whole life because my friends would not believe me when I said I didn't have a crush on anybody. So, I would lie just to get them off my back.

Now that I moved to a new city, I think I might have developed a crush. Seeing them brightens my day. Hearing from them motivates me. We have a lot in common. They call me words of endearment that make me jittery. They even brought up the idea of running away but it could have also been taken as a joke.

The only problem is that they are older than me and married with children. I want to believe that the way they say my name is different--that it is special--but I know I am just deluding myself. I know this is a schoolgirl crush that will pass but all these emotions are new to me.

It is frustrating and exciting to experience all this.
