Ā Ā Ā He was silent for a few moments, but then he looked at Minho. There wasnāt pain in his eyes. There wasnāt sorrow or regret either. The only thing that was held in those dark eyes was anger, anger and the need to show Minho what it meant to suffer. āYou know.. all those days that Iād go out and run with you, well you and the other runners, it was your ideas and words that kept me wanting to go out there. Ā Ā It took a lot to hurt someone like Minho. King of the Maze, afraid of nothing and always taking initiative. His pride ran high and nothing could break it down -- well that was, if you werenāt someone he cared about. He cared about everyone in the glade sure, but there were only a handful of people who he would die for or do anything for. Newt being on the top of the list and him saying something like this out of nowhere? It hurt. But he couldnāt admit it. He couldnāt let the other boy see him as weak, it just didnāt work that way for him. And everything around him seemed to be crashing down as every word fell out of the other boyās mouth ; how could Newt say this to him? Doesnāt he know that he had to go through hard times to? Everyday he had to come back to the glade and plaster a wall that no one could get through. With that he stayed silent and didnāt interrupt for plenty reasons, but the real one being that perhaps that hit a little to hard on his heart. Even though the gladers thought he didnāt have one well, now they do. ā ----------- Itās my job to say that. We canāt have everyone jumping off the shucking wall.āĀ
