Lip Gallagher.

Let’s talk about how Lip was more pissed about the fact that Ian never told him that he was gay than the fact that Ian is gay.

Also the relationship they continue to have through out the series. Lip never really has any issue with Ian being gay or talking about it. It never really grosses him out or freaks him out.

He was pretty good with Debbie when she got pregnant (well he didn’t threaten to kick her out)

He always took care of Liam (and almost killed Fiona when Liam got into her coke)

He went and picked up Fiona when she had no one else and was at the lowest point she’d been at.

Lip is the brother we all want.

Frank Gallagher.

Can we just talk about the fact that Frank (although intoxicated at the time) has no problem with the fact that Ian is gay. He walked in on him and Mickey (well more like him IN Mickey) and literally could not care less.

He’s an absolute asshole. I’m not gonna argue that fact. But he’s not homophobic.

I kinda like how they wrote that character to be different than most alcoholic fathers.

In any other show the alcoholic father is completely against his son being gay. But not this one. Which I respect.

So let’s give poor Frank a bit of a break.

At least until he opens his mouth again.
