Have you hugged your friends today?
I don’t think it. I know it. Because I knew my granddad. Maybe you and I were the only two who knew him, so you’re not going to bullshit me on this. Because, two, I know lying makes you puke. Because of that mafia game last 4th of July. And, three, I know you just ate a full plate of baked beans and sausage. So, look me in the eye, and tell me what happened to my grandfather.

It’s a scene from her story where SW’s a ghost

Neither do I.
And damnit, now I’m crying. I swear I don’t usually cry about things like this.
I think Erik felt like Charles was TELLING him to leave. The whole conversation was such a horrifically tragic misunderstanding.
Oh god, oh god, I know. :( That is so my own headcanon, that Charles meant to reject Erik’s ACTIONS, his intent to kill the men on the ships, whereas Erik thought Charles was rejecting HIM, and it didn’t occur to either of them that Charles was in shock and Erik was having PTSD and maybe they should get Charles to the hospital and talk about it when they were in better states of mind later and could express what they actually meant…it’s so heartbreaking.
Oh, yes yes all of this ^ including the confession ;A;

We’re your children, from the future. 1989 you adopted us all and trained us to fight against the end of the world. Called us ’The Umbrella Academy’.
