No, Thank You: Sal and Feferi
He wasn’t able to get a word in. He was tugged away and he almost tripped if it wasn’t for the fact that he caught himself in time. He matched her pace and was glad that she wasn’t running. He wasn’t the most able person on land so this was fine. Just fine.
The pain was still there but his tail was moving around like a dog’s. It was the part that showed how he felt in this situation and he was excited to the core!
“I’m not a guppy but fine. I don’t think I’ll mind that anyway– at least, in the beginning. If it’s the same every time, it might get… no, not really.”
Did he really have a conversation with himself and with her? Maybe. It wasn’t the best time to talk to him or expect an actual answer from him. His mind was deep in the Red Sea by now so this was going to be fun for him.
That was partially point. To some degree, he confused her a bit, though, that wasn’t something she’d admit, ever. Shaking her head, the young woman grumbled to herself, shoes padding against the floor, and eyes flickering left and right to observe the world around them. Her complex wasn’t far, wasn’t far at all. Just a hop, a skip and a jump.
“Guppy’s a nickname, don’t get your fin in a knot. I can come up worse if you’d prefer.”
A small bit of scorn in her voice, she flashed the other a look. Shaking her head once more, Feferi puffed, gills flaring out. Ugh, boys. There wasn’t a good retort, so she simply squashed his hand, spinning about to snag the other, walking backward, and smiling that sharp-toothed smile.
“Excited yet?”
"If you want to come up with worse, you should make it so no one else can hear! I might get jealous if anyone else hears it and look back like it's meant for them." Yes, that much he could admit. Even though he sounded like he was singing, one wrong move and he would make sure she was. He didn't have control; what even was control?! Just live and have fun, even if it's gruesome to others. He held pain in the cages of his teeth but it was obvious he felt it. It actually made him look away from her to see where she was going. Maybe he should tell her that she's about to hit a pole if she didn't turn around.. "You can't tell? Of course i'm excited! It's going to be fun; I can see it already. Well, actually I can't see it. If i do, i'm going to be a mess before we even go there!" Oh yeah, she listed out rules before. Maybe he should so this whatever it waa didn't start off in her cancelling. "You're about to hit a pole."
