Bonus illustration accompanying a text stating that volume 3 should arrive sometime in September 2026. The illustration was printed on a promotional sleeve wrapped around volume 2 in Japan.
Because the picture was fairly low quality, I took it upon myself to try and enhance it using Clip Studio Paint's tools. I did the colouring on this one, I hope you don't mind! We don't have many coloured illustrations featuring Tasha yet, so I tried to extrapolate from what we have! She seems lighter than Zahab and Shinsha, closer in shade to Mbaya.

"As I was creating the cover art for volume 2, I was told that watching the process was fun because it looked as though Zahab was playfully adjusting his pose to a photographer's requests. I found the thought so delightful that I just had to draw it!" source: @ryo_sumiyo6492 (april 2026)
A bonus illustration by Ryo Sumiyoshi regarding the cover art for volume 2, which features Zahab as the key figure! For having watched some speedpaints by sensei, I understand where the person making the comment was coming from! The sketching stage can definitely look like that.

Jean certainly makes a not-so-terrifying Death in this AU, ahah. Translating this made me realise I really wanted to try and nail the characters' voices down, the way the official translation does.

I took advantage of the newbie bonuses and bought points on the K Manga app. I spent 28,5 €, which would be a little over 3 physical volumes of manga.
If I keep up with the free points you can get by watching three ads a day (ugh, though I put them on when walking and my phone in my pocket), I'll likely won't have to spend anymore money to get chapters, because I'll be able to save up enough free points.
It's likely possible without spending as much, because I admit I only thought about the math afterwards. My bad! Those will be points I'll spend on another manga, maybe. I know I won't keep up with the ad-watching all that much, knowing myself.
SO! How little can you actually spend while still being able to catch up on Si Land?
Assuming you get 10 points a day from ads (you can get up to 50 points if you're lucky, it's a gacha with three draws a day), and that each new chapter costs 99 points, it takes about 10 days of daily logs to read a chapter. One chapter comes out every Sunday.
They are currently 15 chapters, 13 of which need to be bought. So you need 1.287 points to catch up, and let's throw an additional 99 points so you get a little leeway to have the time to save up free points. That's a total of 1.386 points.
You'll have enough by buying 1.570 points for 12 € (or the equivalent in your app, it's probably cheaper in non-EU places), by buying all the 1 € options (those have the best values) and one 8 € option. Then, it'll just be a question of watching 3 ads a day to gather free points. In any case, for 12 €, you'll get all of Si Land :)
If you really don't want extra points/take advantage of the newbie bonuses, you can also just buy one 8 € option and three 1 € options for 1.420 points, meaning a total of 11 €.

"When world-building, the first thing I tend to think about is the toilet situation, by examining the ecology and physical characteristics of the world's inhabitants. Since I start by wondering things like, "What shape are the toilets?" I never seem to finish my notes." (Ryo Sumiyoshi, Oct. 8, 2025) source: @ryo_sumiyo6492

I've been following Ryo Sumiyoshi's Pixiv for a few years now. I used to have all his concept art for Si Land in my bookmarks, and I would look through them often.
Unfortunately, most of the art ended up being made private with Si Land finally getting a serialisation (possibly due to Kodansha?). It made me very sad! I only have a few art pieces saved on my computer (I will post them later).
This blog is a way for me to save Si Land art (in fear of seeing it deleted from public view again) while also, hopefully, making it more known to an English-speaking audience.
I do plan to subscribe to his FanBox (equivalent to Patreon) at some point, though I won't share the art from there here.

Okay hi everyone, I'm a relatively new fan of famous artist Ryo Sumiyoshi sensei and over the past 10 months I've been obsessively collecting and traveling the internet for everything related to him and compiled everything in a few days.
I sincerely hope that you find something interesting in here because there's really a lot... from published books to interviews, many many many links and more!!!
It was really fun putting this together and I hope you enjoy it! of course it will have some missing information but I think I did a pretty good job covering the basics to a little more obscure, I'm always opened to suggestions on how to improve it so don't hesitate to reach out.

Which also has a speed-paint posted alongside it: YouTube link
(text on the right) "Looks like a 24 years old, right?" I can't get a good read of the text on the left, but it seems to make a comment on how Zahab is manly.
(bottom text) "Zahab" (text near his face) "The Lion of the Ocean painted the world in gold" "世界を黄金に染めた" seems to be an expression. In this case, it is probably in reference to Zahab's goal of finding Si Land in the hopes of making the world a better place, according to his words in chapter 2 (2)
"The difference in body size is noticeable when looking at individual body parts, but it is even more evident when comparing the size of the heads." Sensei added in a comment under the piece that he especially liked that detail regarding the heads.
"Since I always have him make silly faces, I drew him getting his act together and being more serious."
