this job market is a fucking nightmare
Hypnotist who puts triggers you so you can't move and sets you in front of a TV with a spiral and mantras while they go out for work.
being strapped down by a doctor for your examination. feeling their cool gloved hands on your bare skin. you think this is kind of strange, but you don't think much of it. you're sure a professional knows what they're doing!
then when it's been a while and you're a little confused, you timidly ask why it's taking so long. they sigh, ignore your question and give you an instruction: follow the light.
it's such a simple task, it's just a test. this is all completely typical. as you follow it back and forth, you find it hard to look away. it feels so good to stare at it.
the doctor starts talking, but you're too distracted by the light to really take it in. but that's okay, your subconscious will absorb it all like a sponge.
when they take away the light, you feel less uncomfortable, this all seems perfectly natural. whatever your doctor does is for your benefit. whatever your doctor tells you is right. doctors know better than you, and you want to be a good patient, don't youuu?
It's too late. I've already depicted you as the amenable thrall and myself as the all powerful hypnotist
HOLY SHIT SNACKS THAT’S TRANCEY
This came back in my notes 😍
How many times can a mind stand to break apart?
Is it acceptable to swing a watch in front of someone as a greeting?
Hearing someone say "AI is so great, I don't have to think anymore because ChatGPT can do it for me"
Inside of are two wolves. One is devastingly disappointed with what society has come to. The other one is INCREDIBLY TURNED ON by the idea of having a cold AI think what you're supposed to think for you
Yeah, that.
imagine going to hypnotherapy and being a bit sceptical but it ends up helping a lot more than you expected! you can't even remember most of your first session, but you've never felt better. your therapist is really, REALLY nice. you can't wait to see them again!
then, over the course of many sessions, they change small aspects of your personality, one at a time. it's so slow and gradual that you don't even notice, and after a few months you're a whole different person. a much happier person!
it feels great to get better. all of this makes perfect sense. why wouldn't you trust a professional?
you like your therapist a lot. they're so sweet, and it's clear they know what's best for you.
eventually, you find yourself thinking about them in between appointments, wishing your next session would come sooner. it drives you crazy. you decide to bring it up, and they agree: it would be good for you to see your therapist much more often. it's obviously what you need.
of course it's normal to go home with them, it's for your own good, right?
hypnohub finally age restricted in uk This time im really gonna do it
hai ^^ what are your fav hypno tropes?? I'm always curiouss
What a lovely question!
Eye rolls are a classic, but less on their own and more because they are a genuine indicator of trance! I have induced many an eye roll in subjects without deliberate prompting, it’s such a delightful tell of how mindless and compliant a subject has become.
I also love medical/technological brainwashing, especially if it’s disguised as some kind of benevolent psychological treatment. Think that scene from On Her Majesty’s Secret Service where the sleeper agents think they’re just listening to a meditation audio to reduce their anxiety, or Winter Soldier where Bucky thinks he’s just meeting with a psychiatrist…😵💫
I love when you're hypnotizing someone and you look into their eyes and you know that they aren't there anymore. They've been locked up and quieted, tucked away so that you can have an obedient plaything in their stead
Hi Iris! Someone’s probably asked something similar but what’s one hypno/mind control scene from your childhood that rewired your brain chemistry?
HAII thx for the question ^_^
ohh there are so many. The Jungle Book ruined my life, I know that's really typical but it's common for a reason, the scenes were such a big focus, I feel like other cartoons don't drag the hypnosis out as long...
Although for a lot of people it was Mowgli scenes, for me it was Bagheera in particular, something about his weak resistance and how quickly he gave in had me HOOKED and that's where my fascination started.
other than that though, I loved Scooby Doo (there are too many to list, but the obvious one is Daphne with that clown), and Totally Spies. I swear that show was a psyop to give people mind control fetishes later in life, because it came up SO OFTEN. Didn't help that I had a crush on all the characters.
is it just me who struggles to act normal about hypno terms in day to day life? whenever i hear the word "obey" I turn around like they said my name.
not that this one is super common but when people say "mindless drone" in a totally normal context I am taken aback. because that phrase is so OBSCENE!!! SO SEXUAL!!! LIKE HOW ARENT YOU EMBARRASSED ABOUT THROWING AROUND THAT WORD COMBINATION!!! and other people just don't think anything of it
Y’know that trope that goes like
Character A: “That’s it, Character B has gone too far! I’m going to confront them in their office!”
*door slams*
*5 seconds later*
Character A, obviously brainwashed: “Character B has done nothing wrong, everything is fine actually… 😵💫”
I love that trope.
It can't be that good of a trope. You know what? I want a word with you in private about how this trope isn't as good as you make it out to be.
Dyscord Is Entirely Right About How Good This Trope Is.
Well you can’t argue with an endorsement like that folx~ 💙🧡
