A girl with shoulder-length brown hair. Her hair has pink, purple, and blue highlights, though they are faded. Her hair is a mess, it seems like she has not brushed it. Her skin is pale. She has brown eyes. She wears a grey hoodie. She tilts her head so that her hair will fall to cover the feeding tube that comes out of her nose.

TW: running away from camp Jupiter because of medical issues probably. Sleeping in a tree

Lysanias was perfectly fine. They hadn't been able to sleep for the past night or two, which was odd. Usually, they sleep a lot. But it wasn't a big deal.

They found a tree somewhere. It was a nice tree. It had many branches and it sort of split and cocooned in the middle. Lyssie decided to climb it and sit in the middle. Legs on either side of a branch. Safe from rolling off one way or another because of other, thick branches. It was nice.

Lyssie hadn't slept in a tree in a long time. Not since they had ran away from camp Jupiter.

But there you find them, up in the tree, asleep with their arms crossed.

Sophia climbed up the next tree over in hopes for a better view. With her short stature, seeing things from afar didn't exactly come as easy to her as it did some others. There, when she looked around, she could see the faint outline of a person through the dense leaves.

The wood of her tree creaked slightly as she inched her way closer to this strange person. Perhaps it wasn't even a person at all. Perhaps it was a trick of the light. There, she got a clearer look. She wasn't quite sure if she recognized them from anywhere. More than likely, this was just some odd nature-loving mortal. She wouldn't blame them seeing just how nice the weather has been. She stared at them for a long, hard moment, trying to fit their face to any memory she might have. With the recent power switch, more of her memories were fresh in her mind.

Lyssie jerked awake, drawing up their feet and looking down. Their immediate reaction, thinking an animal was trying to grab at them. There is no animal. There is, however, another girl in a tree a few feet away. Lyssie was vaguely confused about why they were being watched.

"Hello?" They looked at the girl. They weren't sure they knew her. Lyssie's voice was scratchy, as always. Stupid feeding tube.

She blinked. Through her thick curly hair, horns just started to peak out after having lost them for two days. Her silvery-white shirt and camo pants of the same color were stained green from all the leaves and grass. "Hello. Comfy? You should probably check for ticks later."

"Yeah. It's comfortable." They looked at Sophia's horns. They wondered if she was also a demigod. What type of demigod would have horns? Maybe Hermes. Hermes seemed like the type of god to do that to his children for a good laugh.

"Yeah, probably. Who are you?" Lyssie never had a problem with ticks. Why would they be afraid of Lyme's disease? They couldn't eat red meat anyway.

She hesitated, thinking it over. This looked like a normal kid, but after what happened to Kiara and what kept happening to people she knew, she decided to be a bit cautious. Even if Kiara's quest was ages ago. "Who are you?" she echoed.

"I asked you first!" They retort, wondering if they should start running. This girl might be dangerous. Might be one of those odd, mimicking creatures.

"My name is Sophia. There. Don't worry, I don't bite." She crossed her arms. "What's your name? And how come you fell asleep in this tree?"

"My name is Lysanias." They copy her, crossing their arms as well. "I just was really tired. So I fell asleep in a tree. What of it?"

"Fair enough. It can be nice. I just didn't know if you got lost or anything. You know, the wilderness can be very dangerous if you don't know what you're doing. I've seen a few dead or almost dead hikers who didn't watch where they were going or touched something they shouldn't have," she warned. "But if not, that's fine."

"Yeah, no. I'm good. I just slept here, that's all. I mean, I'm not stupid enough to eat random things that grow out in the wild." Mostly because they had a feeding tube. But also they weren't stupid.

"You would he surprised. You really should be careful, though. I have lots of hunter friends nearby, and someone might misfire." She climbed up to a higher branch. "I'm supposed to be up here for a better view of stuff since I'm so short."

"Oh, yeah. Hunting parties can be dangerous. Am I in the way in this tree?" They looked around for any other people on the ground or in other trees.

"I can warn them that we should move out." She stared at the mysterious person for just slightly longer than normal, as if trying to figure out something. They looked like a normal mortal. Despite knowing next to nothing, she was almost certain this was another demigod, or at least a legacy.

"Just don't shoot me, really. I don't ask for much. But if you're hunting, you know. Deers don't really seem to like people. So they might not be near this area if the deers saw me sleeping here. Deers are kinda scared-y cats."

Lyssie looked back at her. She was probably staring at the feeding tube. Most people did. They paused for a moment before speaking again.

"Can I help you? You're staring."

"I won't shoot. I'll make sure I wear my glasses. The others will make sure to be extra cautious when I tell them there are people here." She hesitated. "I just thought I might have recognized you somewhere. It's whatever."

They shrug. "Maybe. I've been a lot of places." They look at the horns on Sophia's head. Maybe she was a demigod and it'd be okay.

"I like your horns."

"So you can see them." She reached up and touched one of her horns. "Are you... a demigod, too?"

The thing about a question like that is that it can go one of three ways. One, they are, and it's most likely okay. Two, they aren't, and you have to gaslight gatekeep girlboss your way out of it. Three, they are but don't know it, and now you have to bring them to camp. Hopefully, it would be the first one.

"Yeah." They were glad that Sophia asked that question and they didn't have to. But at least now everyone knows that everyone else is cool. "I didn't know at first if your horns were real or not. Who's your godly parent?"

"Oh, thank the gods!" She smiled. "I thought I was going crazy. My godly parent is Selene. You?"

"Yeah, most people can't tell. I don't really have a... like... I don't know. Feature. You know what I mean?" They clear their throat. "Apollo."

"Most demigods don't get features like this," she gestured to her horns. "Most of my sisters don't. I just got unlucky, I guess. Do you need help finding some place or need some kind of escort? We're great at navigating."

"No, I have a friend that lives nearby. I'll just head over there." They start climbing down, careful that they don't get their feeding tube caught on anything.

Lyssie jerked awake, drawing up their feet and looking down. Their immediate reaction, thinking an animal was trying to grab at them. There is no animal. There is, however, another girl in a tree a few feet away. Lyssie was vaguely confused about why they were being watched.

"Hello?" They looked at the girl. They weren't sure they knew her. Lyssie's voice was scratchy, as always. Stupid feeding tube.

She blinked. Through her thick curly hair, horns just started to peak out after having lost them for two days. Her silvery-white shirt and camo pants of the same color were stained green from all the leaves and grass. "Hello. Comfy? You should probably check for ticks later."

"Yeah. It's comfortable." They looked at Sophia's horns. They wondered if she was also a demigod. What type of demigod would have horns? Maybe Hermes. Hermes seemed like the type of god to do that to his children for a good laugh.

Today, Lyssie is in the kitchen of the palace, pushing some water into the end of their feeding tube. They were facing the wall, because Lyssie did not like it when people saw this. It felt like some sort of weakness that they did not enjoy showing.

Nero was in the kitchen when he noticed Lysanias. Honestly he didn't really mind their presence all that much, it wasn't bothersome or anything of the sort. He saw that they couldn't see him since they were facing the wall, so he gave a hum to acknowledge them as he grabbed himself a bun.

Their head popped over their shoulder at the noise. Just a remnant of being a demigod at camp Jupiter showing through. Always check noises, especially noises that came close behind you. They finally greeted Nero. It was probably rude of them not to do it sooner, but it felt weird having things go down your feeding tube and talking at the same time.

Today, Lyssie is in the kitchen of the palace, pushing some water into the end of their feeding tube. They were facing the wall, because Lyssie did not like it when people saw this. It felt like some sort of weakness that they did not enjoy showing.

Nero was in the kitchen when he noticed Lysanias. Honestly he didn't really mind their presence all that much, it wasn't bothersome or anything of the sort. He saw that they couldn't see him since they were facing the wall, so he gave a hum to acknowledge them as he grabbed himself a bun.

Their head popped over their shoulder at the noise. Just a remnant of being a demigod at camp Jupiter showing through. Always check noises, especially noises that came close behind you. They roll their eyes. They look back down quickly at what they were doing with the syringe, hoping he didn't catch the eye roll.

Lyssie stumbled into Theo's room and immediately flopped face down on his bed.

"...uh?" Theo looked over at Lyssie and just. Sat there. Not really knowing what to do.

"Heyyy Theo." Their words seemed kind of slurred. They look in the general direction of the colorful silhouette that is Theo. "How you been, man?"

"Are you... okay?" Theo did not know what happened. He wasn't sure he wanted to know.

"Hm... that's a good question... I got put on new medicine. And... it's making me feel really dizzy and sort of drunk. Or, rather, how I imagine feeling drunk feels like. You know?"

"Goddamn, they got you high huh?" He stood up from his chair and walked over to the bed. "Need anything?"

"Yeah they did. No, I don't need anything. Just wish the room would stay still." They bury their face into his pillow.

"That sucks, man." He sat down next to them and hesitated for a moment. "Would a hand on your back help any?"

"It might. If you want to. Thank you." Lyssie sort of hoped that he did want to. Because even though it was a strange method, it might work. Who knows?

"Yup." He quietly put his hand on Lyssie's back. Not really doing anything. Just, keeping it there. For comfort. Moral support or something.

Lyssie felt the body heat from his hand seeping into their back. It was very nice. It might not help the dizziness, but it definitely fixed the lonely problem. Theo is definitely their best friend. What a cool guy.

"This does make me feel a little better. Thank you."
