If Maddi is 6 that means it has almost been 7 years that you've been gone. Your absence is still felt, it always will be. I miss you Kal, your laugh, your walk, the way you watch tv. You made me laugh, you made me cry (because turning the lights off and start swinging was a fun game to play) and knowing you were down the street made me feel comforted. Pretty sure I bugged you but I don't care lol, what I wouldn't give to have another beer with you and for you to meet all these babies that have arrived since you left. There are thousands it seems. Everyone misses you. Tell Uncle Alvin, Michael, my grandpa what's up. Love you cousin. RIP Kalbert Keoni Kauo Jr.

June is gone, here's July! 2013

My first sunshine was promoted from kindergarten to first grade! We are so proud of her. She received the highest honor in the whole class, even after having missed 31 days in the year-- OOPS. Well, I hate sending sick kids to school because of how it impacts everyone else. Your kid is sick, gets mine sick and the cycle never ends. If she's coughing, she stays home for sure. But that didn't have any impact on her being the best! I am a very very lucky mom, she is everything I could have ever hoped for.

My second sunshine is turning out to be quite the little trouble maker. He is still so very sweet and loving BUT he is in EVERYTHING. He has an expanding vocabulary: mom, ma, dad, dada, maddi, yeah, no, mine, stop, go, great, dog, ball... he will be 15 months in under a week. He is a total momma's boy. That's my little prince charming.

Auntie Gwen works for Disneyland now so she decided to invite us over. We got in free and were joined by Auntie Clarissa and Uncle Jason who have passes. Maddison LOVES it there and this time Everett was big enough to join in on the fun. He met Mickey Mouse and was totally excited about him. He kept laughing and trying to touch his nose. It was a very sweet moment and I had to walk away so I wouldn't cry like a crazy person.

Maddison has lost another tooth! And by lost I mean it fell out and then she lost it, so the Tooth Fairy didn't come.

The latest addition to our ever growing family is a brand spankin new van. We traded in my beloved Murano. I am officially an old lady. It's ok because I am all about the convenience right now. While these kids are small I definitely want sliding doors!! When I'm working and our financial situation and living situation have been addressed I am totally trading this bad boy in for a huge fully loaded all black Armada. I would probably hang balls from the back end of it too.

I am currently 7.5 months pregnoid with our number 3. Baby girl has no name yet. I am getting more and more excited about having a small baby again. I absolutely love it.
