After a talk with myself, I'm going to move this blog, but I'll also split it. As I'm currently way more active with my JatP muses, I'll make one JatP blog (who will be main) and a multimuses sideblog.

I'll keep most of the threads, but feel free to IM me to know more about it. (Maybe the JatP one will be ready before christmas, but not sure).

I’m wondering if I should move my blog to a new main (Because side blogs isn’t always that easy and I’m not even using my main here... mostly this one...). I’ll probably change the name too if I do, I’m not sure yet... But I’ll move everything, including threads and keeps track of them, I’ll not delete this blog (also why I’ll change the name, so the link to this one won’t change). Well, I’m not sure yet. If some of you have advice or prefer main over side blogs (for starter call and all) you can let me know, it can help.

𝙍𝙀𝙈𝙄𝙉𝘿𝙀𝙍. when crafting a reply, for the love of god please use the “yes, and” or “no, but” rule. here’s a short clip of tina fey explaining the concept. this keeps a thread alive, encourages plot growth and helps to keep your partner interested. for example,

he sat down at the table. “do you want coffee?” “no,” she replied, “but i’d love a steamed apple juice.”

this works because now, the first character has a few options for their reply. he can make a cruel or lighthearted assumption about the second character; he can ask why (an open-ended question is always a great go-to btw) she wants steamed apple juice; etc. clearly, the “no, but” has stimulated the conversation much more than a simple “no” would have.

this rule also applies to plotting. i find it’s actually more difficult to employ ooc, because it really does require a lot of thought at first — rapid-fire replies won’t cut it. eventually, though, when you and your partner become more acquainted with your characters & their dynamic, it’ll come a lot easier. for example,

person one: ok so what if they went on an ice cream date person two: omg cute! yes! i bet it was at, like, ten o’clock at night. eve just totally showed up at dominique’s apt out of nowhere person one: AH LOVE THAT. dom’s 100% in her footsie pajamas already. she’s literally dressed like a penguin and opens the door and full-on DIES.

notice how both people are fully-engaged with their characters & their preferences, habits, instincts, expressions, etc. person two could have easily replied “omg cute!” and left it at that, but then person one is left with absolutely zero content to work with. this will bring plotting to a complete or stuttering halt. no exceptions.

but what if you’re plotting, and you disagree with something your partner says? i refer you back to the “no, but” rule.

person one: ok so what if they went on an ice cream date person two: honestly eve is SO lactose-intolerant so that wouldn’t work ugh. BUT she’s such a green juice girl?? maybe they went for, like, a hot yoga session and then hit up a juice bar? person one: that’s perfect!!! idt dom has ever tried green juice so the concept of eve daring her to try it.. so cute.

both instances work. both encourage character and relationship development. it’s a very simple, very easy adaptation to make, and you’ll find that — regardless of whether you’re in a group or a 1x1 setting — you get far more in-depth, detailed, partner-committed plots.

Even when he felt Luke arms holding him close and when he said he wasn’t against the kiss, Reggie’s brain seem to be unable to process all of this and he feels really bad, pretty sure he’s loosing his best friend. Still not looking at Luke, he raised his hand, trying to apologize.

“Look- I’m sorry, I’m just... Wait... What?!”

It was like his brain was working again and just gets all the informations at once and he looks up at the guitarist in a second and just stares. He may get the informations, he’s not sure to understand the meaning of them, or he’s too affraid of rejection for realise what was happening

In other circonstances and if he wasn’t already crushing on someone else for so long, he could have asked Alex out. He’s his best friend and he really loves him. He’s the brother he never had. He was always here for him, even when he felt bad or when it was awful at home, he can always talk to him. He helps him love himself a bit more, or hates himself a bit less. Alex, but Luke too. It’s just not the same with Luke, he doesn’t see him like a brother.

So Reggie knows about Alex and how he feels for Willie. And he can’t be anything but happy for him, even if sometimes he’s a bit jealous that he doesn’t have this, he’s still happy for him more than he wanted to admit.

“No. You absolutely don’t! And he’s not looking at you with those bedroom eyes?”

He gives him a knowing look. Alex IS flirting and obviously Willie is responding with as much as flirting.

“He doesn’t give me bedroom eyes!” Alex protested instantly before blushed with a groan and dropped his head into his hands “Does he? Reggie how the hell do I handle any of this? The only person I’ve ever dated before is Luke and we were already best friends and broke up as best friends too… we never even got past kissing!”

Alex was panicking a little because he had no idea what to do, Luke was honestly his last and only boyfriend and they never went far.

“Reg, how do I do this?”

Reggie raises an eyebrow giving him a knowing look. Yes, he does, but he doesn’t say anything. Yes, Willie does, it was so obvious. But then he start panicking about it and Reggie start feeling bad for him. He tries to give him comforting looks but wear a kind a curious smirk. The mention of Luke hurt a bit, of should have if it wasn’t Alex. He keeps it for himself, but he was thinking that he was very lucky to get it from Luke. At less he already kisses someone. Because if Reggie seems pretty confident and flirty, he’s not confident at all when it get more serious and doesn’t really fall in love for the people he flirts with. Actually he can’t flirt with the one he’s interested in. He’s not the best person to ask for advice at all. He just put his hands on Alex shoulders and tries to make him looks at him. “Calm down ‘Lex!” He looks at him in the eyes and when he looks ready to listen, he resumes without moving his hands. “It’s gonna be ok. You are amazing, and I’m pretty sure he’s already mad at you. Just... be yourself!” He really tries to be cheerful and comforting, but again, he’s not the best with that. He’s sure Willie loves Alex, because everyone should, he’s his best friend and he’s amazing. There is no wait something can go wrong, unless that Willie is a jerk, but si far he seems really into the drummer

Reggie had barely slept, or at least that’s what it felt like. He’d been far too excited at what could await him in the morning that his mind had buzzing when he tried so hard to fall asleep.

Decidedly, he’d gotten up early to get breakfast ready before Luke woke up. It was difficult for him to not let his mind wander and keep focus as he sipped at his coffee, checking the food every so often.

They had talked about getting a pet and he knew it was wishful thinking but he hoped with so much might that maybe his Christmas wish would come true.

When the food was done, he switched things off and plated up before going to wake his boyfriend up, tiptoeing into the bedroom with cup of coffee in hand, setting it down on the nightstand before sitting on the edge of the bed where the Luke sized lump ended to allow him some space. Leaning down, he pressed a kiss to his forehead. “Time to wake up, sleepyhead,” he said gently, practically beaming with a bright smile.

He couldn’t help the warmth spreading in his cheeks and the soft blush coloring his cheeks pink at the feeling of his fingers on his back and he felt like he could melt at the feeling of his lips against his forehead.

“I try my best,” he replied quietly with a soft smile.

When he felt his lips against his own he was quick to return the kiss, eyes closing lightly for the duration of the kiss, enjoying the moment before he pulled away.

He couldn’t help but grin when he moved and moved him onto him lap, enjoying the closeness and intimacy of the moment, breathing in his scent. But then his stomach grumbled from hunger and he reluctantly went to move off of him. “Y-yeah… food time.”

Seeing Reggie happy is one of the best things. He let him go and sit on the edge of the bed before stretching, now more awake. Again, food call. “So, tell me more about that breakfast!” He said before standing and offering Reggie a hand. He really wanted to go on the top of him to make him fall on the bed and kiss him for another hour, but both of them are hungry and too excited. And they’re supposed to visit his parents for the diner, and he already told them about the third guess.
