You’re not depressed. You just need $250,000 in your bank account.
Reblog to materialize $250,000 in prev's bank account
my piece for @gempearlzine. secret life, of course.
The way literally every single player in Third Life except Jimmy got to see how hard Scott fell apart after Jimmy died. Everyone else saw, talked, whispered with pity, as Scott became reckless and dazed with grief only to die uncharacteristically early in the finale. Except for Jimmy.
When Jimmy saw Scott for the last time in Third Life, Scott was in control as he always was, and when Jimmy saw Scott again in Last Life, Scott was in control again.
I always get the sense that Jimmy still sees Scott as unshakable, or something close to it, to this day. Jimmy always expects Scott to be in control of any given situation, to be level headed, observant, diplomatic, and on top of things. Even up to the most recent season.
Because Jimmy is the only person in the life series (who was present for third life, at least) who doesn't fully understand how hard Scott can shatter under the right circumstances, who didn't get to see it with his own eyes (and did anyone even tell him?), despite the fact that Scott's biggest moment of weakness was over Jimmy.
It's just fascinating to me guys.
I've never used tumblr before but I recently got into life series lore and needed to put this little idea somewhere so
What if: when Scott died in 3rd life and went to his little hobbithole heaven with Jimmy he thought they'd be there forever but then they were pulled away to fight in a new death arena. Scott eventually struck a deal with the watchers (how? Idk yet) if Scott and Jimmy can both win a season without helping each other then they can leave the death games and go home. There's a catch though, while they're in the games they don't know about the deal so they don't know that they have to win. Also Jimmy's curse makes it pretty hard for him to win. After Last life Scott goes back to the watcher and tried to convince them to lift jimmy's curse because otherwise he can never win. The watchers agree, on one condition, Scott will help them rig the games. In double life and limited life scott was in the finals, I don't know why but I think the watchers don't like cleo (evidence:people don't consider her a real winner even though she won real life) and so scott had to kill cleo in double life. I think the watchers knew that martyn wanted to win really badly and the watchers were tired of all the winners being sad and grieving, they wanted ruthlessness, so they told Scott to make sure martyn and him were in the final, this is why scott suggested they all get down to 30 minutes, making it easier for martyn to kill him. When Scott helped the watchers rig the games twice the watchers finally listened and lifted Jimmy's curse (kind of). In secret life one of the endermen pushes Lizzie into the void, I think the watchers purposely used the endermen to do that, making sure Jimmy didn't die first. But Jimmy died right after, the curse lifted, but he still didn't win. I think the watchers don't count real life as a series because they didn't like how much fun the players were having, there wasn't enough bloodshed and chaos, but either way neither Jimmy nor scott won. Also, I forgot to mention earlier but Scott won last life so he already did his part, he just needs Jimmy to win and then they can go home. So far in wildlife Jimmy hasn't died yet and 3 people have already died so I'm super excited to see whether or not he wins and if he does then flower husbands get their happily ever after. This was just a silly idea that's been in my head for a while, if anyone wants to add to it or tell me if anything is inaccurate, go ahead, I just wanted to put this somewhere
i love this take!! especially considering that one headcanon i’ve seen is that scott helped to lift jimmy’s curse due to the fact that lizzie died trying to kill him in secret life.
I don’t usually care that much about Flower Ranchers, but I do enjoy some Scott-centric Flower Ranchers. People seem to forget that Scott was widowed and abandoned and no one ever comforted him or apologized to him, and Jimmy moved on like it never happened to begin with. If Scott joins the Ranchers’ relationship, it won’t be without PTSD or, at the very least, abandonment issues.
He’s going to overthink every little thing.
He’s going to think that he’s not an equal part of their relationship.
He’s going to think that he is lucky to be in their lives without ever considering that they might think themselves to be the lucky ones to have him.
He’s going to think that it would be wrong for him to sleep in the middle of the bed.
He’s going to think it would be intrusive of him to sit between them on the couch.
He’s going to think it would be rude for him not to always be the one to clear the table after dinner and clean the house during his spare time.
He’s going to avoid being in relationship pictures.
He’s going to avoid participating in banter, because it might not sound right coming from the person new to the relationship.
He’s going to avoid asking for affection.
He’s going to feel like an add-on.
He’s going to feel like he doesn’t contribute enough.
He’s going to feel like he’s overstepping if he asks if they can go to a restaurant he’s had in mind.
He’s going to feel like an intruder in a relationship that was just fine before he was around, because he clearly wasn’t wanted last time and he doesn’t know what it was that he did wrong.
He’s going to feel like, if he asks for anything at all, if he is too loud, if he is too needy, if he is too bold, if he is too lazy, if he takes up space, if he costs too much, if he is ever an inconvenience, they’ll leave him without a word. And he has good reason to!! One of them did that to him and refused to say that he loved him and they never reconciled about it!!!
Scott would 100% treat their relationship more like a job he bullshitted the application for rather than like a relationship.
I would like to preemptively apologize for the person I will become if Jimmy somehow wins wild life
a paladin and a sorcerer :]
Todays session?? Hello???? Scott just being able to sense Jimmy??? Martyn’s power??? Gem??? Scott killing Gem??? Martyn????
Of course i like flower ranchers and mumscarian, the answers to most problems is polyamory
every time i log onto this goddamn site the little rat with spectacles in my head goes “ah yes we must engage in an intellectual conversation with our peers” only for me to realize that we are all grown adults screaming about Minecraft
i have come to the realization that this blog only gets posted on during life series’
I just saw someone say that Scott has a hard time saying that he loves his teammates. I- have you watched Scott? Scott “‘We don’t need [ender]pearls, we already have the best Pearl’ right to Pearl’s face” Major? Scott “saying ‘I love you’ isn’t going to be a hard task for me cause that’s normal behavior for me” Major? Scott ‘“‘the sweetheart’ as deemed by Skizz, Impulse, and Grian” Major? Scott “‘I love you, say it back’” Major?????????? Scott the most loving person on the server other than maybe Skizz?????????????
“Scott is manipulative. He makes himself look good to protect his teammates.” “Manipulative” implies that Scott is lying. Scott stays true to his word. He’s one of the most earnest people on the server. If he isn’t going to defend someone, he tells them that he’s not going to defend them. If he says he’s going to do something for you, he’s going to get it done, which is why a lot of people value him as an ally. It might blow your mind, but Scott’s openness and honesty is what makes people trust him.
“Scott makes himself look strong.” Scott is strong. He wiped the floor with Impulse. He has escaped being chased so many times. He succeeded at a legendary and remarkably underrated bucket clutch. You think Scar’s bucket clutch was good? It was, but he was expecting to fall and onto flat land. Scott was knocked off of a tower onto a hillside. Nobody talks about that. He’s really good at PvP, and people know that. Additionally, Scott has never made himself look strong. He’s a very passive person. He doesn’t like starting fights. Bdubs is terrified of Scott, and Scott has only ever tried to be friendly to Bdubs. Bdubs just knows Scott’s reputation. Martyn is scared of Scott. Martyn has fought Scott first hand and won, and yet he did not want to make an enemy of Scott after Limited Life. Skizz picks a direct fight with a LOT of people, but he never picks a direct fight with Scott. He knows way too well how that fight’s going to go. Skizz will take on Lizzie and Scar and Tango, but he’ll never target Scott if he can avoid it. Scott knows that he’s strong. His MCC rankings are pretty solid proof. You can’t fault him for having genuine confidence in his PvP skills but not actually wanting to fight if he can avoid it. If he loses, that sucks. If he wins, he’s angered a team.
You’re calling him “manipulative” because his enemies are afraid of him and his allies trust him. That is what happens when an honest person is powerful. Most people who have had any experience with Scott know that Scott is not someone to mess with. After fighting Scott in Limited Life and being on his team in Secret Life, Impulse got WAY bolder on Scott’s team, because he trusts Scott to have his back, and Scott does have Impulse’s back. He’s constantly apologizing for Impulse and was very upset when he was asked to keep a trap secret from Impulse. Scott works so hard to be honest in a game where honesty is not always rewarded, and he does not deserve to be slandered like this, especially when nobody else is being treated like this.
Scott never makes himself out to be anything other than what he is. Lying doesn’t go well for him. He is just a guy trying to keep the fighting away from his teammates, and lying isn’t the best way to prevent that when so many people in this game are so clever or so quick to assume you’re lying anyway. Social games don’t have to be about control. Social games can be about building a reputation of integrity by having integrity.
This excludes Joel because Joel is too close to Scott in real life and will attack him because it’s funny to see your friend get irritated with you.
You know who will never say “I love you” in the life series?? Grian.
You know who was “manipulative” last session? Pearl knew there was a trap, promised not to tell her teammates, knew that Scott knew about the trap, and told him “why are we whispering? why are we crouching? there’s nothing there. you’re being paranoid”. Nobody says ANYTHING about that.
You know who likes to look strong? Bdubs, Jimmy, Ren, Impulse, and Skizz. Those are the ones who make themselves out to be bigger than they are, which is a normal strategy in a competitive situation. Bdubs loves to be LOUD and aggressive. Jimmy loves to puff his chest up and make threats, but he backs off the moment someone hits him back. Ren loves to take the lead (3rd Life, Double Life, and now Wild Life). Impulse loves to get aggressive and petty, and his confidence is often his end. Skizz LOVES to be overly aggressive once he’s allowed to kill, but he’s really bad at backing people into enough of a corner to keep them in a fight. Scott is quiet, because he doesn’t like the attention. Scott likes being distanced from the other Wild Life teams, because he likes being out of the way, but he went with the others anyway.
I block people for having bad takes on Scott Smajor
hear me out: pearl and gem as marceline and princess bubblegum.
thats it, thank you for your time
