I showed this to my mom. She flipped her shit. Wants the pattern. I clicked the link. Got to the original, which had a link to the pattern. Mom is buying the pattern, artist makes money.

While I’m there, I notice it’s had dozens of hits in the last 24 hours. Why? Because its making rounds on tumblr and somebody credited the artist.

It genuinely upsets me when my family members say things like “you shouldn’t talk about your struggle with alcoholism, it leaves a bad image” or whatever reason they have. Family privacy. Dignity, maybe. But FUCK that. I have been through Hell and Back to be where I am today and I’m PROUD of my journey. While some of my family members are ashamed of it. I’m not anymore. I’ve grown past that and you should too. You wouldn’t be ashamed of beating something like cancer, so why not a cancer of the soul, like addiction, hm? I do not CARE if it makes me look bad. I WAS bad. And now I’m better and I DESERVE to be proud of that. I EARNED that.
