Online Home Nursing Class- Pilot Post

Hi all,

The last good US home nursing textbook was published over 40 years ago, and since then care has largely transitioned to a strictly professional space. But lay home nursing is a critical skill that I think everyone should have.

I'm putting together a free online home nursing class for anyone who is interested. It would probably start in early fall 2026 and be a once-a-week online webinar focusing on lay nursing skills. Things like basic anatomy and physiology, basic assessment skills, using over the counter medications safely, keeping track of care, and recognizing when an illness or emergency requires a higher level of care.
