Let's eat! March is officially our yummiest month! Can you name all these dishes? We only wish we had better facilities for cooking and crafts lessons. Also, we're trying to inspire more boys to attend. After all, these girls will run the world soon! They're brilliant at everything they do! Cooking class exams are fun. Just look at that amazing spread! Well done!
We also held board exams for the 8th standard students. The results will be announced in May, so keep your fingers crossed for our young brainiacs!
We celebrated the 62nd anniversary of the foundation of our Buddha Vihar by Dr Ambedkar (18th of March 1956). The students prepared a fantastic performance and we participated in a small parade.

Summer holidays in full swing! We hope that our students are having fun. In the meantime, SidSchool teachers have been distributing admission information leaflets. We are working very hard to make a computer class a reality this year! A few more donations and we will be able to buy a PC and to hire a part-time computer science teacher!
We've been super busy with state board examinations - hence the long silence. Congratulations to all our 10th graders and a special mention for a score of 85% to Vikash, Rahul, Priyanka, Saurabh, Shivam, Nisha, Priti and Rajababu! Well done, guys!
World Water Day 2016 is a perfect opportunity for us to thank all of you wonderful people who took part in our 2015 crowdfunding campaign for a water filtering system. It's your hard-earned money and enthusiasm that made this possible. Just look at the difference you've made in the lives of these students! Yellow water vs clear water! THANK YOU!
India is facing chronic water shortages and drought, as rivers become increasingly polluted and groundwater reserves rapidly decline.
"India has the world's highest number of people without access to clean water, imposing a major financial burden for some of the country's poorest people.(...) India's Supreme Court has already held that the fundamental right to clean water is a right to life. (...) The government really has to pay attention."
About 650 million people, or 10% of the world's population, do not have access to safe, clean water.
Flush less, waste less! WORLD WATER DAY is held annually on 22 March as a means of focusing attention on the importance of freshwater and advocating for the sustainable management of freshwater resources. (www.unwater.org) These photos really do make you think...It's hard to believe that this is still a reality for so many people in this day and age. Unfortunately, many colonies around our school struggle with water shortages and sanitation on a daily basis.
Farewell Party for our 10th grade students. We hope that your exams go well this year and that you go on to study at colleges of your choice! We will miss you!
Our 10th grade gave a wonderful performance at the Republic Day function in January.
Our students visited a flower fair and show in Agra. Semi-arid climate here makes it very difficult to maintain lush parks and gardens, so this was indeed a treat for the eyes and for the noses!
