LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT ♡ྀི
sib {siren! sid w.} × count {vampire! sid w.}
sib watches the sun disappear behind grey clouds while sitting on a patch of rocks peeking out of the sea. he always liked the way the sun felt on his scales and fins. he was about to retreat back into the ocean before something caught his eye on the dock to his far left.
there sat a man of maybe above average height, his eyes a unnatural shade of scarlet, the way his calculating eyes skimmed through the pages of his book made sib's heart skip a beat. his hair sat on his shoulders, his skin was also unnaturally pale.
sib thought he was gorgeous.
the siren licks his lips in hunger and interest and emits a soft shriek as he dives back into the water, stalking his way to the dock to get a closer look at the stranger.
the stranger in question raises his head up at the sudden sound, his eyes scanning the ocean for the source of the noise. the man squints his eyes before returning to the novel in his hands. he could very much sense something was watching him, but decided not to dwell on it.
sib lets out quiet hums and trills as he approaches closer to the dock, poking his head out of the water when he deemed himself close enough. he makes sure to tone down his original appearance to appear less frightening.
the man raises his head up again, his ears picking up the smallest of sounds. he sees sib this time and smiles, slightly leaning forward and setting his book to the side.
"hello there. i knew someone was watching me, but i didn't expect it to be a merfolk of all things."
sib lets out a soft giggle, "a siren, actually. i just didn't expect someone to be near such dangerous waters by his lonesome. no friends?"
the man let out a soft chuckle at the sly remark. "you're one with sass, hm? but I do have friends, i just prefer my alone time. and i can defend myself just fine, thank you." he propped his arm on his knee and leans against it. "what's your name dear?"
the siren smiles sweetly, his razor sharp teeth peeking out of his top lip as he stalks back and forth in a mockingly predatory manner. "i'm sib, what's yours stranger?"
the man smiles at sib in return, slowly extending his hand to sib. "it's count, nice to meet you." count's smile turns charming as he presses a kiss to sib's hand.
sib could feel his heart stop still in his chest, his face felt hot as he slowly retreated his hand. the thought of this man becoming his afternoon snack long gone. count hums and looks at the sky above, noticing the clouds growing darker and thunder approaching.
"i suppose i should be getting back now, looks like a storm is setting in." he smiles at sib once more, before grabbing his book and standing up to full height.
sib could feel his face getting hotter now that count was standing up, he expected him to be taller than himself but not THAT tall. "y-yeah,, it was nice meeting you, count. see you around!." sib smiles up at the vampire once more before disappearing into the sea again.
count smiles, his gaze intent and focused on the water for a few moments before beginning to make the trip back to his estate.
