Three Main Ideas of Metaphysics
1. Self Observation - observe thoughts/behaviors to define who you are
2. Clarity of Thought (Definition of Aim) - define what you want to achieve
3. Detachment - detach from habitual thoughts/behaviors and purposefully act in accordance with your defined aim

Using the mirror
WHEN YOU LOOK in the mirror, if you are dissatisfied with the image reflected back, don’t accept it, change it. If you look in the mirror and, unhappy with what you see reflected there you walk away and do nothing, you are sure to be confronted with the same thing later.
The same applies to the psychological state.
Make a habit of looking into the mirror of the mind and seeing the one you wish to see reflected back.

Inverse Transformations
The Law of Inverse Transformations allows that, by evoking within the self the feeling that would be yours were your desire realized, that which you desire must become real.
If possession produces a specific feeling, the feeling must produce the possession as long as the feeling is evoked and sustained.
The Law of Inverse Transformations requires only that you evoke and sustain the feeling of your realized desire until your desire is realized.

Motor Element Thoughts
NOT ALL THOUGHTS are productive. The thoughts that do and produce nothing are, as Ribot explains, unaccompanied by an effective state and thereby do not trigger motor elements—the motor neurons of the diaphragm and the intercostal muscles of respiration.
Many of us pay no attention to our motor element thoughts, but I urge you to take responsibility for them, because in doing so you take possession of the key to your freedom.
We all place far too much emphasis on the conditions of life as the cause of our emotional state. It is our emotional state that is responsible for the conditions of our lives.
