Dream Awake || Jacob
The grumpy expression with which she was presented only made Sienna giggle further as she ambled into the room, quite merry and at ease with the new surroundings. “You did, but it’s nice to see you’re a gentleman and will open the door for a girl.” she told him, turning around to face him with a dramatic sweep of her long hair. Her eyes keenly scanned the room in a brief look: and, to her, it seemed rather like every other young man’s room she had ever been in. Apart from the one item that seemed misplaced, out of sync with the rest of the decor. It was of course, her Biology notebook, bright and bold with its decorative blooms.
Sienna bounded over to the dresser and picked it up lightly. She tucked it beneath her arm, avoiding any kind of look inside the mostly bare pages, and grinned brightly over at Jacob. “I’m assuming you won’t have filled it with random messages or drawings for me to look at before bed. Or discover in my next Bio class?” she inquired, her laughter already visible in the bounce of her shoulders and the glint in her blue eyes.
Jacob only rolled his eyes, pushing the door closed behind her once she was over the threshold. While she spun around and beamed at him Jacob wondered if there was anything that would be able to wipe that seemingly unmovable smile from her lips. As she moved to retrieve her notebook, Jacob slowly padded toward his bed and flopped onto the mattress and took out his phone, holding it up to his face and scrolling through the few messages he'd received that morning.
"Uh, why the hell would I do that?" Jacob asked, not looking up from the illuminated screen of his mobile phone. "I didn't even look at the pages inside what on earth would make you think I left notes or doodles to entertain you while you don't write notes in class."
