to be transmasculine is to be a ghost I think. transmasculinity is a haunting (silent, invisible, found hiding in the lost and overlooked, viewed as a stain, people prefer to ignore it than face what it might imply, etc.)
transmasculinity haunts "tomboy" and "dyke" and "female husband" and "woman hides as man" and "bulldagger" and "butch". transmasculinity lurks in the graves of the ones who were buried without being undressed. it's the invader in the 'normal' home. it's the presence that died in silence and is recognized only by the ones who can see the outline of where it might be. transmasculinity is the ghost that lingers unseen in the mirror as you walk by it
Cloudy day in Kyiv (Kyiv Monastery of the Caves, or Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, an 11th century monastery and a museum complex at the same time)
Reblogging my own post to point out that on the night before June 15, 2026, russia hit the church pictured here in photos 3 to 6 - the Dormition Cathedral - with a Shahed drone, igniting a big fire.
Initially built in 1073-1078, the cathedral survived for centuries before being blown up by the retreating Soviet army in 1941.
It was restored after Ukraine regained independence, in 2000.
And now it's once again under attack...

Oh my god I was just looking to see how much a copy of Hamlet would be through Barnes and Noble and PEOPLE ARE ROLEPLAYING WARRIOR CATS IN THE REVIEWS??????
@vriska
ok i was VERY involved in the. b&n reviews warrior cats roleplay scene when i was like 10-12. the first two books of the series were general hubs where ppl would post ads for their clans and other groups. there was a huge percy jackson community i remember participating in too. it worked through search results, eg. riverclan might be under the search result “rivers”. book 1 was rules and a “map”, book 2 might be the main area, book 3 the medicine cats tent, etc. there was also usually a book where ppl would post lengthy descriptions of their character(s). it was a rlly bizarre little corner of the internet jdksj also it was impossible to find any real reviews of any of the warrior cats books bc of it
this is unironically kind of cool
I rbed this silently but I think I've gotta answer some questions now. I was a big part of this whole thing and the reason we didn't use forums was because 90% of us didn't have normal internet access. Barnes and Noble had an e-reader that could connect to the internet and reach their digital store, which was great for those of us with controlling parents who only let us read books.

the nankeen kestrel is a small falcon, also known as the australian kestrel, found in australia and new guinea. they have a unique hunting style that makes them distinctive; as opposed to relying on speed to catch their prey, like most falcons, they perch in an exposed position to wait for their prey, or hover over fields of crops and grasslands to search. these birds are small and slender in build, with primarily rufous upperparts and pale buff underparts streaked with black. the sexes are similar, though males have a grayish head and tail, which is more rust-colored in females; females also tend to have more markings overall. they are common in grasslands along with around farmland, where prey is plentiful. their diet mainly consists of small mammals, small birds, lizards, and large insects. small prey, such as insects, may be eaten in flight, while larger items are taken back to a perch. nankeen kestrels are not picky about where to build their nests, and may raise their young in a tree hollow or cave, ledges on the outside of buildings, an abandoned nest formed by another bird, or even a simple scrape on the ground. typically, a pair will only raise one brood a year. the pair works together to raise the young, with males providing food while females incubate the eggs. typically, once nankeen kestrels have found an ideal nest they will reuse it for multiple years in a row, with pair bonds usually continuing over many seasons if not for life.
