Lead Finalist of Tectona

In June 2013, Jessi, our founder entered Plymouth University’s Tectona Business Challenge with the initial idea for Siignia. With advice and expertise from successful local entrepreneurs during workshops and 1:1s, the idea grew into a full business plan and cash flow prediction which was submitted to a judging panel for consideration.

The support and advice Jessi received during Tectona was integral to the progression of the business, and that combined with her determination and drive made Siignia a finalist with the prize of a £500 start-up cash injection and one month’s support from the Formation Zone.

Jessi has been using this support to set up the company and plan for the Kickstarter campaign we are launching next week to finalise our product testing in the wake of the full launch of our flagship products.

At the launch of Siignia Ltds new innovation in communication technology, founder Jessi Dimmock has vowed to make business cards a thing of the past with the iiD, a wearable device which uses contactless technology to securely exchange personal details.

This is the first prototype of the #iiD, made from Rhodium-plated silver. One of the things we need the Kickstarter for is to get custom NFC tags made with our design, so they're not going to be this blue tag with "NFC" print. What do you think of the design?
