Peter tensed, senses skyrocketing as if he had been struck, and he looked sharply to the left. Blocks down, he could feelĀ that same, familiar presence from before. Cindy.Ā It felt like a pull. Something purely magnetic and impossible to ignore. Even back when they had met, their connection had felt irrepressible, and it had puzzled him just as much then as it did now.Ā
A beat of hesitance passed before he bit his lip and sighed, tugging his mask down and detaching himself from the wall of a building to swing down a few blocks, towards the pull. It wasnāt that he didnātĀ want to see Cindy, because honestly, she was great. Someone he would want to be friends with, without a doubt. But the magnetic aspect of their interactions was mildly off putting. Though, if he could actually explain it, it might be easier to deal with.
His feet hit the ground just past a street corner, shadows falling over him in order to hide from any wandering eyes. He eyed her for a moment, unable to keep from smiling a little when she tucked away a phone. Huh, so she was catching up with the times. Neat.Ā āI think your phone is more recent than mine. Not sure how I feel about that.ā
One second she is wrapped up in the device before her eyes, the next it is long forgotten. She feels him before she sees him. Itās like a rush that runs over her body, sparking every nerve ending in her body, its both electrifying and so incredibly annoying. Itās like she doesnāt even have control over her own body when heās near and sheās stuck between whether or not she likes it or hates it. She likes Peter, that much she knows, heās a nice guy, smart and easy going. Helped her as much as she allowed, bailed her out of bad situations once or twice. However, this striking sensation that built up whenever he was around was almost too much, like if she stayed too long one of them was bound to explode.
Cindy closes her eyes as she tries to zone in on which side heās coming from, her silk senses let her know heās making his way in from the left. She opens her eyes as she searches for him now, her orbs looking for the red and blue streak she knows too well. The closer he gets, the harder he is to ignore and she knew if she left now, heād know she left. Heād think she didnāt want to see him. He might be half right.Ā
āPerks of working for Fact Channel.ā She says as she looks at him, suppressing the burning song her body sings whenever he is near.Ā āIām pretty sure they give us these as some form of control, if I could only figure out how to use the damn thing.ā She shamelessly admits, Cindyās been having a hard time with the new tech for a while now, this they both know well. Hell would freeze over before she would ask for help though, they knew that even more.
āHavenāt seen you in a hot minute, busy are you?ā
