The ’ Lion of Punjab ’ a old lithograph from c1839 showing the legendary Maharaja Ranjeet Singh the founder of the Sikh empire.
A rare old lithograph by Emily Eden dating from the mid 19th century. Depicting Sikh Akali Nihang warriors wearing an assortment of weapons and dressed in traditional clothes. Notoriously during times of war the 'Akalees' always spear headed the attack against the enemy, sometimes with little or no consideration for there own lives.
