A Summer in a Pioneer’s Neckerchief by Katerina Silvanova and Yelena Malisova (Лето в Пионерском Галстуке, написанный Катериной Сильвановой и Еленой Малисовой) - English translation
This post from @sovietpostcards brought to my attention a book causing somewhat of a controversy in Russia, about a pioneer (basically the Soviet version of the Scouts) and his camp counsellor/leader falling in love at summer camp in the 80s, and I figured that other people, like myself, would be interested in reading it, but as far as I know, there’s no English translation, so I thought it would be a fun summer project to try and translate it myself! I’ll update this post with links to each chapters as I go along.
DISCLAIMER: I am not a professional translator, nor am I perfectly fluent in Russian; there are bound to be mistakes and rough parts, I’m just doing this for fun and hoping other people are interested.
