Important announcement
So, most of you guys know that Iâve been debating about Wenâs name situation and maybe making a new blog for her to start fresh. Otherwise it is just getting too confusing and complicated for me here. I donât want to drop her, so the way I see it, making a fresh new blog will be the only way to do that.
As such, this blog is going to become an archive. Iâm not deleting it or getting rid of it, since Iâll have to reblog all the pictures and things form here to the new one.
I will follow most everyone I follow here from the new one, and all my current threads and partners are more than welcome to carry over to the new one. Just bare in mind that her name wonât be Wen/Wendy/Alesea there. (I might keep Wendy or Alesea for her Storybrooke verse but yeah) Instead itâs gonna be Adelaide. And your characters are free to give her any nickname from that. Elle, Ella, Laidie, etc. But her default will be Ellie.Â
Once I get the new blog set up, and ready, Iâll refollow everyone and put the new link here.
Thank you so much for all the love and support youâve given Wen and I the past 3 or 4 years now. Letâs hope we can get 3 more on the new one!
âNice to meet you as well, Umetarou.â She answered, stumbling a bit over the pronunciation, then feeling immensely guilty for it. âSorry.â
Well, even if he didnât know a lot about dancing, at least he had an interest. It was some sort of common ground. As long as she had that, talking to him would become easier.Â
âSure.â Wen beamed.Â
With all a Ballerinaâs grace, she stepped in a little closer and leaned in to see the camera.
(for Silence-and-slumber if youâd like it) Young Sybil verse:
âOf course.â Ellie commented, watching the boy run ahead of them. âMine used to be the same way. It be once they hit a certain age, I think.â
The girl had kept her silence while they spoke, and only grinned when the little one chanted her name like a song. While she agreed with Sybil that it would be for the best to be out from under the Kingâs thumb, her creed told her war was wrong. And since their father was a Colonel, Ellie had no desire to offend them. Not when Sybil was being so kind to her.Â
âThank you, mi-Sybil.â The brunette corrected herself. âIt was mighty hard after they died. I lost me way for quite a few years. And even though my Uncle took me in and raised me like I was his own, alongside his five children mind ye, I just couldnât find me way back. But the good Lord loved me still, and with his grace, I found the light again. All the same, my Uncle and Aunt could not afford to keep me any longer, so I left to try to find what work I could do. To send money back to them.â
Looking around, Ellie sighed. âThis place be quite different from home, but mayhaps I can find a place to belong here.â
(for Silence-and-slumber if youâd like it) Young Sybil verse:
Ellie smiled shyly. âDifferent as we may see things, we are not so different; Protestant and Quaker. After all, Quakers be under Protestant classification. If you ask me, there be far too much killinâ as is to add killinâ for faith to it. I may not agree with different faiths, but my own tells me to love all and show no violence. So I accept all who have good in their hearts the way I think the Lord God would want.â
âThank you, miss.â The girl added with a wistful voice. âPart of me canât help but wonder if she and the rest of my family werenât taken from me because others werenât so kind as you about what we believe...â Shaking her head and looking to the ground, she sighed. âEllie, Elle, Ella, Laidie; Iâll answer to near anything, miss. Whatever you be most comfortable with.â

(for Silence-and-slumber if youâd like it) Young Sybil verse:
"I'm not with the Redcoats." She asserted. "Had I had even the slightest inclination to be, they'd not have me. I be a Quaker."
It was a risky admission, Ellie knew. Back in Philadelphia, she had only really ever been harassed for her faith by the same girls who attacked her for every little thing. But even then, it didn't mean much. Philadelphia had plenty of Quakers living there, and it was nice. But not every other colony was as tolerant as Pennsylvania, founded by a Quaker, had been.
Folding her hands demurely in front of herself as the two siblings spoke, Ellie felt a sort of affection for this Sybil. She seemed a smart and strong girl, everything she had always wanted to be. Following the little group back toward the house, she sighed and blushed. "I do beg your pardon for my manners. My mother, God rest her soul, would be most cross with me. My name is Adelaide Abbott. But most folk just call me Ellie."
(for Silence-and-slumber if youâd like it) Young Sybil verse:
The girl's lips pulled into a meek but sincere smile. Moments like this were when she missed her family most of all. The picture before her reminded Ellie of herself and her sweet baby sister. Little Iraina had been about this little guy's age when her life ended... Glancing away to hide her tears, Ellie nodded. "Of course. I'm glad to be of some help."
Fredericksburg... She'd heard of it, but had never been there before. She did, however, know it was quite a ways from home. Maybe here she could finally find her place to belong.
Ellie let it a rushed breath when the gun lowered and the boy showed her the ball. He had to have been about her own brother's age... Would she ever be able to see children their age, or that looked like them, without her heart breaking all over? "Thank you." She whispered softly. "If it's no intrusion to you, I would greatly appreciate your kindness."
Omg, I hate myself. These drabbles I'm working on for Susan are killing me. Then I make the mistake of going back and reading old drabbles I wrote for her. And there are literal actual tears. I'm going to get murdered for this long one.
(for Silence-and-slumber if youâd like it) Young Sybil verse:
âTertullus!â Sybil cried in horror as her four-year-old younger brother seemed to be approaching a stranger in the far field. The sixteen-year-old didnât bother to grab the gun as she handed off baby Abigail to her sister Rebecca and darted off after the fearless young child.
The four-year-old stopped at the otherâs feet, looking up at her he beamed a slightly toothy grin. âYou new here,â he simply stated, offering the other a half slobbered on and nibbled apple. He had learned to share with his younger sister and was offering to share with the older girl.Â
âIâm sorry for my younger brother, Maâam. I turned my back for a moment and he was out the door and half way across the fieldâŠ..â she remarked. âYah look lost. Can I be of some help?â Sybil questioned, scooping up the four-year-old and resting him on her hip.Â
Archibald, another one of Sybilâs brothers followed her. He had the presence of mind to bring a gun with him. Though Sybil waved to him, silently instructing him to lower it.Â

She was tired. So very, very tired. And weak... In fact, Ellie no longer had any idea where she even was. She had paused just for a moment in the field to try to get her bearings when the little voice reached her.
Looking to her feet, the girl smiled sweetly. She'd always had a soft spot for children. It was why she was so good with her own siblings and younger cousins. "Hello there. Are you lost too?" She asked in her soft spoken voice, stooping down to his level. "Oh, thank you, sweetheart. But you go ahead and eat your apple."
Her concern for the boy taking over, Ellie had been just about to pick him up and try to find his family when another girl appeared. A girl perhaps her own age. Biting down on her lips and jumping back up, she brushed her dark brown curls from her face and looked away. "He's perfectly fine." Ellie replied softly. She'd never had friends her own age, or experiences that were good with other children either. Always being painfully shy was difficult enough, and the other girls always teased her for it. They seemed to only find more fault with her as they grew, and made the others shun her as well. "I thought he might have been lost too."
"Can... Can you tell me where I am?" The girl asked the other timidly. "I've been walking for so long, and I don't know where I am."
Then the other boy approached them. And when her dark brown eyes locked on the gun, Ellie froze. Her face instantly blanched, nearly looking translucent. Her eyes took on that awful haunted look and her feet even stumbled back a step or two.
