Hey there everyone!! This a new roleplay blog from the game called Warframe. I’m looking for others to interact with! Constructing my page a bit more so be patient but in the meantime–

Lost log #001

There wasn’t much the boy could do. What he believed to be himself was lunging at the gold cryopod. It had broken the glass. In a panic, an energy orb formed in front of him and he shoot it forward without a thought. The warframe was knocked backward. While it stumbled and confused, he dragged himself over to the pod. The glass was broken and there were some cuts on the body inside. He looked at the face of the other boy, still sleeping, dreaming. He recalled more of the memories that came flooding back. Their lives, their childhood. This is his brother.

Calya was no longer lost. He knew what to do, despite all the questions. He had to protect Halya at all cost. From the warframe, from Frost. Shielding his brother with his own body, the Orokin boy faced the warframe. It was no longer himself. Like how the Zephyr before it lost its control entirely. Calya stole a glace at the disembodied warframe. Lilian had lost her mind, or she had lost control of her warframe. Calya had no way of knowing, but it didn’t matter.  He had fought her and brought her down. But when the Zephyr went down at the hands of his Frost, the Frost acted up. He felt a violent push, then he woke up to the Frost cracking his cryopod open. He didn’t have the strength to fight. The warframe that he had inhabit for so long thrown him across the room, knocking another cryopod open. That was when his memories returned, when the realization dawn on him like the gleaming sun.

Frost had always been a surrogate. It wasn’t him. Loki wasn’t Halya and that Zephyr wasn’t Lilian. The first cryopod that was destroyed with the child inside of it was where Yvet slept. When she died, the Trinity also fell.

Why was Frost attacking him now. He couldn’t know for sure. But Calya thought that something evil must have taken it over. It might have been Lilian. She may have lost her mind, yet her power was not lost, but stronger than ever. When her surrogate was decapitate, she went for another one. She took his Frost and would use it to kill him. He would have to kill it if he was to protect his brother. He would have to kill the body that he had thought was his all this time.

Calya was fine with that. As long as Halya is safe.

Another seemingly peaceful day in the Claudius house. At least it was until Lena tripped and fell leaving her foot behind. 

“Aw man. Memo to self, replace that damn screw. And- Oh hello.” She hadn’t noticed the visitor. “Uhm… are you waiting for my dad?”

Arasu looked down at the creature, the girl on the ground. He tried to process what he saw. Claudius's daughter, the man had mentioned her before, he was sure of it. He didn't know she was...this.

"Yes...I was. You don't happen to know when will he be back?" His voice was raspy, and was half hissed through his teeth. With a small sigh, Arasu walked over to the synthetic leg that fell off behind the girl. He kicked it up and caught it on his knee. The rehab paid off nicely. He can move almost like he remember he could.

"I suppose this is yours?"

At Larunda

An Ash warframe was dashing around the premise, knocking over some passer by a few times without apologizing. He visited all the syndicate room as well as Simaris’ sanctuary and Darvo’s. Even without visible, actual face, it was easy to spot his frustration when he left Darvo’s shop and stomp over to Baro ki’teer’s corner. The crowd was thick, a lot of shiny gold prime parts and prisma armors everywhere.

The Ash retreated to trade some ducat of what what little parts he had picked up, then he found himself a corner where he sat and watch the crowd. He crossed his legs but before he cross his arms, he looked down at them and paused. He moved the figures around, curl them into a fist and spreading them as wide as they would go. After a while, he took a few credits out and lay them on the floor in front of him then crossed his arms.

This is the first time since Arasu has been awaken that he had time to think about his body and his favorite warframe’s body. The arms don’t feel alien. It was only natural since he believed this to be his own body for a very long time. Now that he was awake in his own body and remember what it was like. It was bizarre to still be feeling so relax with this body that wasn't even his to begin with.

The next thing the Ash warframe did would draw some puzzled gazes from the crowd, if they care to look. But he didn’t really mind. The warframe stretched his legs slowly, then started, with his feet, build a small structure out of the credits while keeping his arm crossed.

Lych was expecting further talking down or something of sort. When that didn’t happen, she was surprised and was looking up at Claudius, puzzled. Then shared a confused glace with the Excalibur who shrugged.

“I only make first grade stuff” Edo was just as puzzled at the sudden price reduction (although he did his calculation and that was probably as low as the price can go). He made his payment while Claudius was on his little notebook.

When Claudius stepped back and Edo was walking over to Lych, the girl pushed herself up only to fall right away. If not for the Excalibur’s arm that caught her, she would have fall flat on her face.

“Why?! How do you even know I use Rhino?! What would you know? Edo did you tell him?!” She turned to Edo while clinging to the Excalibur. The man shook his head.

“If I had told him about you, would I have to introduced you in this fashion? Well I might have mentioned that I know a Rhino user. They aren’t that unique” Edo shook his head, putting the box away in a compartment under Lych’s hover chair.

“Now, if you want to look around, why don’t we get going now. What do you want to see?” The engineer asked, Lych struggled a little as the warframe gently pushed her back in her seat, seemingly already tired with her small exertion.

“I…I guess the syndicate room? Or just around? The meditation room have windows that sees out side, right?” She asked and the Excalibur nodded. Edo looked over at Claudius.

“You’re welcome to join us, if you ain’t busy or something.

Claudius fought down the urge to show off further. This one was an interesting subject.

One little atrophied girl who intentionally tried to stand on her own two shriveled feet? Not psychosomatic,  obviously had not been catching up on her physiotherapy. Arasu is fine, assuming they know each other the would probably urge her to do some rehab, unless evidently the stubborness she displayed most likely means she too headstrong and might even be trying to prove something. Fortitude, maybe? Wonder how she’ll fare.

The barrage of thought happened in less than a second when Claudius cracked a joint in his neck. He shrugged and mused, “let me confirm with my lieutenant”.

He snatched up his comms and twirled it in his hands. By ‘comfirming with his lieutenant’ he probably meant forward everything on the schedule over to her for the afternoon.

“Let’s see here…inspect subject L3-4…Gather intel…Spy vault espionage on Venus…nah, I can spare some time”.

Intentionally not directing his question at Lych and Lence, Claudius looked to Edo and commented, “Their first time, huh? I recommend going to the command hall. No one uses it, but it looks best for…actually, maybe you can show them Simaris’ sanctuary. I have access”.

Now Lych is glaring at Edo. She didn't want anyone else to come along, but the look from the man told her that she had no say in it. Praying that Claudius would be to busy, Lych was disappointed when he said he could spare some time.

"I have been he-" The girl was going to answer even though Claudius wasn't talking to her, but Edo talked over her.

"They only have been here in their warframes. It would be a very different experience for Lych. Simaris sanctuary should be interesting" He said, ignoring Lych's death glare.

"Fine...Sanctuary sound interesting enough" The girl mumbled. The Excalibur tapped her shoulder and brought up a small holo-communicator. It showed a small projection of a boy, somewhat older than Lych. His mouth was covered. He didn't talk, but a text message was typing itself on the hologram.

//Simaris is that cephalon that always zoom his hologram right in your face. Are you sure?//

Her face changed as soon as she read the message.

"What is it?" Edo asked, looking over to try and see what the boy had said. Lych put it away.

"Nothing, Sanctuary is fine. Let's go." Lych beamed quickly, kicking her legs against the hover chair. But she couldn't do much until the warframe move it for her.

Doom Squad note. *Spoilers?*

Lilian, Yvet, Calya and Halya are muses that don’t exist for post Second Dream and Natah timeline.

Upon her warframe awakening, Lilian  was slow to remove the Ascaris(Vor’s prize). It leaves a mark on her mind and itched at her transference. Her squad found a trace that lead into the Void (Good thing they beat Vor before he could find that). As they grew distrust of the Lotus (Natah quest), they investigate the trace in secret. They found the moon, found the reservior, and found the truth.

Lilian lost it first. In an attempt to protect their real bodies, Yvet was killed. Calya manage to hold Lilian off for a while as Halya seek help. As Lilian slaughter their own bodies and went berserk afterwards until the warframe itself lost all power, Halya’s Loki collapse in his liset and it was his cephalon that sent out a call for help.

Edo received the distress signal, he dispatched Lence, Arasu and Rain to check on the case. When they arrived, there was nothing they could do but retrieved the doomed squad bodies. Afterward they keep quiet about everything.

Even now, their old warframes still kept hidden in Edo's workshop.

**Halya’s cephalon now serve Lych, uploaded to a new ship.

Lych was grinding her teeth, pointy teeth by the way, when Claudius was seemingly testing out her name.

“I said I don’t care for you to hear because I don’t want you talking to me!” She hissed when Edo came between them. The man stepped aside soon enough. The Excalibur, however, starting to take a rather protective stance over the girl.

“Yeah my name is Lych. Like you said, Lich, walking corpse. I’m a tenno and that’s about as much as anyone needs to know.” Lych kept her eyes on Claudius, glaring the whole time. As she finished she glanced over to the Excalibur and pointed her thump at him.

“This is Lence. He doesn’t talk” Lence, the Excaliber warframe bowed his head slightly. Edo was looking with the box under his arm and sighed.

“Claudius, maybe I won’t bergain for once and pay you four thousand. Can we go? She just want to look around” the engineer said and muttered something along the line of ‘she will make a mess if she got too work up’ and ‘She can still shoot beam from her palm’

It was quite difficult to understand why he dropped the belittlement all of the sudden.

Perhaps it was her mentioning her own name in a way that he felt he went to far, or perhaps he finally got that she didn’t stare for trouble - it was just how she acts? How she expresses? Most likely of all the alternatives, he started the rowdy act because he saw a bit of himself in her mannerism, and thus understood exactly why she acted this way. 

…What if it was because he saw a phantom of himself, but as a Tenno? A version he might have become if he succeeded in his experiment a long long time ago?

Either way, Claudius sighed, took a half step back and his expression hardened back into neutrality; a man with the chiseled face of a statue. He gave a very light nod.

“A Tenno, huh”, he mumbled, “keep it up”.

Before any protest, or waiting to see if his response was taken the right way, he turned to Edo, gesturing dismissively with his hands, “Two thousand. Just make something decent”.

Stealthily, he fetched something out of his jacket: a small notebook, barely larger than his palm, and scribbled something into it. The way he gazed at the pages was not like the way he looked at other people. It was like looking at oneself in the mirror while a hypothetical conversation went on in his head. 

Edo couldn’t quite see what it was that he wrote, but from his point of view and trying his best not to look too openly, he could tell it wasn’t an invoice or a transaction note, or anything related to money. This was important stuff. He elected not to question.

Addressing Lych and Edo collectively now, he spoke. “You”, he called to the girl first, “if you want a your Rhino specially tuned or upgraded - of course you’re a Rhino -  let Edo know. I have something in mind”.

Without anymore elaboration, he took another half step back, a gesture indicating they could leave if they wanted to.

“Yes, yes I’m sorry” He answered, looking down to the floor before looking over to the box Claudius soon picked up and handed to him.

Edo was ticking things off the list, and taking the box from Claudius while trying to signal to Lych with his eyes to behave.

“The kid let his kubrow has ways with the old pair. It was getting uncomfortable though. Kid is still growing, probably gaining some muscle after so long….But four thousand is too…” He was going to bargain. If he was isistent enough, he could get the price down a little. But then Claudius changed the subject.

Lych nearly growl. Edo sighed heavily.

“Yes..um… This is Lych” Edo introduced  her, while walking over to stand beside the hover chair and the Excalibur.

“She’s a tenno. Just woke up a while ago and she insisted on coming to relay…in person. As you can see, she can’t walk yet. The one in the Excalibur is Lence, he’s helping me today since Arasu is off hunting” Edo talked, sweating a little while looking back and forth between Lych and Claudius, hoping neither of them would do something stupid to piss the other off.

“Maybe you should tell people who you are before asking, sir? Edo might know you, but we don’t” Lych said. She had the courtesy to wait until Edo was done. But she had been waiting to say it since Claudius asked Edo about her.

Claudius was looking at Edo for answers, and his neck made a straining creak as he craned his neck back to the girl. What an obnoxious brat. How rude. 

“No, you have been glaring at me and mentioned how you ‘don’t even care’”, he spat venom, “You think I was deaf? No, no, you definitely wanted me to hear it”, the last syllables came punctuated with a low rumble in his throat. 

Edo made an attempt, a grumpy, done-with-this attempt to separate and calm Claudius down. A thick arm came between Claudius and Lych and it would’ve been severed to a stump if he hadn’t removed it fast enough. Claudius almost looked like he was going to bite it off.

“Lych, huh?”, he rolled the name around in his cheeks, “like a lich? Is that what you’re named after?”

“My name, by the way, is Claudius”, he waved a hand in circular motion and a holographic ID/Business card flickered to life.

Edo was late. He knew, he could only hoped Claudius would not get too irritated. He not the man he’d want to get on a bad side. So Edo was complaining the whole way wen they were finally at Larunda.

There was a warframe beside him. An pale blue Excalibur, in front of it was a hover chair with a small girl in it. She seemed about as irritated as he was. Just when Edo saw that Cluadius has been waiting, and much had been for a while, he turned to the girl.

“Now Lych, we are gonna be meeting my colleague. We don’t want to make him angry, so please, behave and be quiet” He told her in a rushed whispered. The girl, Lych wrinkled her nose.

“Why do I have to care. I won’t even be talking to him. I thought Lence was suppose to let me see around?”

“Not until I’m done. You will stay where I can see and behave, got it?” Edo hissed, and Lych hissed back.

“Fine”

Then Edo stood up and approach Claudius.

“Hey! Claudius. Yes I’m finally here. I had to take care of something” He wave to Claudius before reaching where the man was standing, paying no mind to the warframe and the girl behind him who was looking at Claudius with a mixed expression.(kind of surprised, kind of trying to judge). “Please don’t mind the kids, they’re just tagging along”

Claudius minded the kids. He minded them - no, her - with those virulent eyes. 

They judged each other. They judged, and he saw something familiar.

His vision darted back to Edo before the engineer could catch where his bladed gaze was pointing.

“Ah, Edo, there you are, nice of you to arrive so soon”, he rubbed his stubble and flashed a grin. Crouching down swiftly, he scooped the heavy box up with one arm, twirling it like nothing in one palm, and held it forward for Edo like a gourmet dish meant to be presented. His eyes darted back to the wheel-chaired girl for a split second.

 “Two lots of Formas, four bundles of tempered polymer, blah, blah, regular materials, and a pair of bionic arms. Did Arasu outgrow his old ones? It’s been like, what, a few month? Or did he try to adjust them and they broke?”

He flipped the lid open and scanned over the order receipt to confirm, and indeed, his memory did not fail him. “That would be a total of four thousand pla - - who is that girl over there?” Whatever snapped in his brain, Claudius felt the need to subtly assume a stance and immediately switched the subject. He eyed her and the Excalibur with a squint. She didn’t say anything against him outright, no, nor did she make a move to attack him. His response seemed to be something far more subliminal, like two wolves spotting each other in overlapping territory.

Contracts don’t come easily for Claudius. 

He constantly had to fight for it, and occasionally fight for it. Other times, he had to convince Caliburn that utter destruction was the way to go.

Today, though, was like a day off. His contract sat there on his desk in the form of a red mark on a calendar. Edo - Larunda, it said.

Edo was not here yet.

Claudius eyed waves after waves of children go in and out of the concourse as he measured time in finger twitches. It was the three-hundred and forthy-ninth twitch now, and the portly man was still no where in sight. 

He absentmindedly kicked the cargo box at his feet.
