I just rant about whatever I feel like that day. Main fandoms are Golden Trio/ Marauders, Merlin and F1. The ships I tend to post about are Romione, Fremione, Ginmione, Linny, Merthur, Morgwen, Merwaine. RPF is cool in fandom spaces as long as we remember that outside these spaces they are real people with real lives that we are not entitled to. Spidey-Will is still a nerd. Just because he’s spiderman doesn’t make him any less of a nerd. In fact cannon spiderman IS a nerd.

Tobey’s Peter Parker says some nerdy shi in the beginning of the first movie when they go to the museum that he gets bit by a spider at. Andrew’s spiderman makes his own webbing, solved an equation a scientist couldn’t, and figures out how to adjust his suit so that electricity doesn’t affect him. Tom’s spiderman literally reveals his identity to his best friend because he forgot he invited him over to BUILD A LEGO DEATH STAR. He says he can’t go to Germany because he has homework. And lastly, he says while fighting Dr. Stranger “You know what’s cooler than magic? Math.”

I just had the funniest fic idea.

The Mike and El mind scene was actually El telling Mike that she is running away and faking her death, and she'll come back when it is safer, but he needs to come up with a way to make everyone accept it so that the military leaves (because if they see her loved ones hold on to hope they will stay, but if they slowly accept it they'll leave).

So El 'dies', Mike tells the story, they all accept El's death, and they're still sad but Mike knows El is alive. Everyone thinks he's sad that's why he's pulling away, but he is pulling away because he can't fake sadness that well. Will is the only one who has seen him, and he clocks Mike's fake sadness and he gets pissed off.

He and Mike get in a fight, and Mike is just in his room, begging to El in the mindscape to please come back because Will is mad, and he can't tell the truth so he just looks like an asshole.

i’ve probably said this before but when mike is mad at will he’ll try to give him the silent treatment except he sees will frowning one single time and folds instantly and kneels on the floor in front of will and apologizes for an hour straight

And it’s the same the other way around! Will sees Mike get that ‘kicked puppy’ look, and he’s rushing to explain why he feels the way he does, and they resolve it.

Guys I’m a huge Romione fan but think of Comphet Romione.

Ron thinking that all the protectiveness and heightened emotions he feels for Hermione has to be because he is in love with her. He knows she doesn’t feel like a sister, but friendship is too easy ti describe what he feels for her so it has to be love. And yes it is love but platonic.

Hermione who sees someone who understands her, who makes her feel excited, well logically that means that she has to be attracted and in love with him. But then she keeps being distracted by someone who also gets her and she has an easier time being open with her, but that’s cause she’s a girl, it’s supposed to be easier with girls. (It’s Ginny, GinMione potential)

Just Ron and Hermione being so dear and important to each other that it is difficult for them to express it, so they settle on the societally sound and logical conclusion of romantic love.

Because romantic love is always given more weight than platonic love

Pirates of the Caribbean Byler, would Will be Elizabeth or Mike?

On one hand I want it to be Will because Elizabeth has a great journey of self discovery and independence which leads to her becoming the Pirate King and in charge of her fate.

On the other hand if I do Mike, I can have the privilege dynamic still at play, but when we introduce Davy Jones (Henry), we parallel the Davy Jones/ Will Turner with Henry/Will.

Based on that assignment I can get the Commodore, Governor, Jack Sparrow e.t.c assignments

Sometimes I hate being in fandoms because it never fails the moment I acknowledge a character that doesn’t get enough credit, someone will inevitably pop up to defend the main/popular character

For example, I made a TikTok about Jonathan. It’s the scene at the mall when that creature is in El’s leg. All I said was “Everyone talks about Babysitter Steve, but Jonathan didn’t hesitate”.

The comment: So Jonathan does one thing for the kids and suddenly he is better? Steve took care of them for like 4 seasons and also can we not use this song?

Nowhere did I say one was better than the other. Nor do I think it should be a comparison. I also think it’s insane to call it “one thing”. Are we forgetting he has been the functioning adult since before the series?

mileven would’ve been a good ship if mike hadn’t kissed her in season 1, if it was a slow burn and jane got to learn who she was first, and if mike didn’t do all that gay shit with Will.

i hate that most milevens assume we hate that ship just because we like byler. we hate it because jane had no autonomy over her life when her and mike got together

Like just imagining Mike and El bonding in the school scene of s1 instead of kissing, and then all of a sudden the laughter they shared turned into ‘Goodbye Mike’.

Then s2 we have the sane reunion without El leaning in to kiss, and without the Snowball kiss, instead we have Mike and El dancing together glancing at each other shyly but never catching the other.

S3 we have Mike sneaking El out from Hop’s watch, and they hang out with the Party. All of them together, but Mike and El’s hand brush each other when they are playing, or Mike puffs up when El wraps her arms around him on the bike. We have the ‘I love her’ scene, but nothing comes of it because El and Mike are separated again.

S4 the tension is there, and their argument has thinly veiled allusions to how both of them want to be with each other but feel like the other doesn’t want that. End of the season, in the pizza fridge scene Mike says ‘I love you’ and then they get together after the Piggyback.

s5 is them being a team and in love.

(And El never dies).
