While I have many opinions I need to say express about the Touchstarved Chapter 1 Preview and not nearly enough time to do so, there is one glaring question I have yet to see posed β What happened to Sen?
While both Sen and Elyon are DLC side characters, only Elyon made an appearance in the preview. There is nothing known about Sen except her character introduction from the DLC stretch goal for the Kickstarter campaign, which is likely outdated considering the major changes the game has undergone from the original vision. Neither of them have been mentioned or featured on Red Spring Studio's social media accounts for years. The women's day post only featured Iris and Basilea, Vere's Senobium-assigned handler.
Considering this game is marketed as being produced by an indie, queer-owned, and POC development team, I expected the love interests to be more diverse in terms of gender. There are 4 male and 1 non-binary love interests in the base game, and 1 male and 1 female love interest available as separate DLC purchases. The only female love interest in the game has been sidetracked, and this doesn't reflect well on the studio and game's image. To non-backers and casual followers, it would seem that Sen has been abandoned.
