SU Spoilers undercut! I’m not going to go too much into details, since I know there’s people who haven’t watched the episode, but I want to talk about Chalce’s feelings on the matter:

      Chalcedony doesn’t show it, but they’re a very resentful gem. They don’t let go of grudges easily, especially towards those involved in the war on Earth. When it comes to what happened, they find themselves stuck in the middle- resenting both sides of the same coin. Though in the case of the Diamonds, I think most of their hatred is wavered towards them. 

    They refuse to accept that they’d be suddenly willing to change after ALL these years of turning a blind eye to what their court gems went through- to how THEY felt. The moment any gem, act out of order for feeling anything, they’re punished. It goes back to how WD demands perfection, how every gem is meant to act under a certain set of standards. 

     But now that all is settled between the Diamonds, it’s all Fine and Dandy!! Everything’s going to be okay!! Except it’s not. Chalcedony hasn’t ever been able to properly deal with their trauma, along with countless of other gems. I imagine it’s going to take a lot for the Diamonds to regain the trust and respect from some of their court members. They got to be be WILLING to show that they care & see them as more than just disposables. 

    And even then, Chalcedony isn’t sure if they’ll ever forgive them. In their eyes, the Diamonds have always been selfish. They have always put their own grieving above all others, so it’ll be difficult for them to see them in another light.

     Taking the stick into their hand, they look at it for a brief moment. “... Will this fend off against the Diamonds?” Asking the real questions here.

"I see...” Though it was clear that they wouldn’t get it right away, they could see where the gem was coming from. Peace on Earth was definitely something to be celebrated- considering the war that had engulfed this planet thousands of years back. 

At least that’s what the quartz took out of it, as they give a small nod of their head.  “... It’s nice, isn’t it? That humans get to in peace and festivities like this.” It made them a bit envious, admittedly.

PSA: Hey guys, sorry for the recent inactivity! I started classes a few weeks back, so I’ve been busy with that. That, I’ve had little motivation to write… or do anything in general. Still, it wasn’t my intentions to vanish off the face of Earth, OOF. 

So I’ll try my best to get out of this slump so I can write again. On another note, I’m finally getting a new laptop! That should help pick up my activity a little.
